Chapter 863 He Hadn't Hugged Her for Several Days

Violet kept her head down, avoiding eye contact with her coworkers as she made her way to the black Bentley parked in the far corner. She hurried over, opened the door, and slipped inside.
As soon as she sat down and closed the door, the man waiting for her inside the car wrapped his arms around her from behind, his voice soft and alluring. "Honey, what am I gonna do with you? I can't bring myself to scold you."
Violet hadn't been held by him for several days. The sudden embrace, combined with his unique, intense scent, made her body tremble instinctively.
When she turned to look at him, she immediately became as shy as a delicate flower, playfully saying, "If you dare scold me, I'll get mad."
"Show me how you get mad," Brady said, his eyes gleaming as he looked at her charmingly shy expression, his heart racing.
He hadn't held her for several days either. Now, with her soft body in his arms and the faint, pleasant scent of her skin filling his nose, he instinctively wanted more.
"Do you want to see me mad?" Violet wasn't falling for his trick. She deliberately leaned closer to him and gently kissed his sexy, thin lips. After the kiss, she said, "If I get mad, will you comfort me?"
"Of course."
Violet's sweet lips were like honey, and Brady wanted more.
He gave in.
"I was just joking earlier. I wouldn't dare make you mad."
That was more like it.
After a bit more affectionate banter, Violet told him about what happened today. "I think Jade might be at his place."
"I'll look into it." Brady didn't want her to take any risks. He gently brushed her soft hair with affection.
"Don't take any more risks. Focus on the competition."
Violet nodded and smiled. "The competition is the day after tomorrow. I'll win." She didn't want to rely on Darian anymore.
"I have faith in you," Brady said, giving her a light peck on her soft lips.
"By the way, I found out that the joint design company has Darian behind it. I'm planning to terminate the contract," Violet said, her voice trembling slightly as she lingered on his lips. "But the penalty fee is quite high."
"I can handle that," Brady said, not caring about the penalty fee.
He had been worried that Darian, as a rival, would harass Violet. Now he knew how dark Darian could be.
Keeping him around Violet was like having a ticking time bomb.
What was a little penalty fee compared to that?
"Darling, I'm sorry for causing you trouble." Violet felt guilty, knowing Brady could afford the penalty fee.
She hadn't brought much profit to JK yet, and now she was about to cost them money.
Plus, she almost got Calliope in trouble today by asking for her help.
"It's not trouble. Looking for Jade was my idea," Brady said, never blaming her. He adored her too much. "For the next few days, don't get involved. Focus on your designs."
Violet nodded regretfully. She decided to focus on the design competition for now and leave the matter of Jade to Brady.
Brady held her tighter, gently rubbing his high-bridged nose against her cute little nose. "Once we sort all this out, let's take a nice trip to relax." He had planned a special island getaway for her.
"Where are we going?"
"My private island. You haven't been there yet, have you? I'll take you to see it."
"Okay."
