Chapter 553 He Might Not Even Know He Has Another Child
Meanwhile, after Eddy left the president's office, he prepared to pack Brady's luggage. He pressed the elevator button and went down to the lobby, where he happened to run into Calliope coming up.
Eddy originally just wanted to greet her, but then he thought about accompanying Brady to Radiantia.
This trip might be a bit dangerous, so he mustered up the courage to say to Calliope, "Ms. Green, when I come back from my business trip to Radiantia, if I'm free, can I pursue you?"
Calliope was startled by Eddy's sudden public confession.
For a moment, she was at a loss, as she had never been confessed to like this before, and today was the first time.
Her face gradually began to turn red.
"I have to go help Mr. Hall pack his luggage, Ms. Green. We'll talk later." After confessing, Eddy prepared to leave.
Calliope quickly asked, "Why are you suddenly going to Radiantia?"
"Mr. Hall is worried that the last incident with Emerson might leave some danger." Eddy didn't doubt her and told her the truth.
Calliope's expression was becoming a bit heavy.
Is Brady going on an adventure?
"Then I'll be off."
"Okay."
Eddy quickly walked out of the company building.
Calliope, however, stood there for a long time, unable to calm her worried heart. How could she turn a blind eye to Brady going into danger? But she wouldn't make a decision on her own because Brady had Violet.
If she were to go, she would have to ask Violet for permission.
Otherwise, if Violet found out later, she might misunderstand Brady. So, after thinking it over, Calliope went to see Violet when Brady and Arthur's group were boarding the plane.
Meanwhile, JK was nearing the end of the workday, and everyone was packing up.
Calliope went straight to find Violet. "Ms. Devereux, can we talk?"
Violet didn't mind talking to her alone.
The two of them then went to the hallway outside.
Violet looked at the somewhat worried Calliope and gently asked, "Ms. Green, what can I do for you?"
Calliope pressed her lips together, her eyes full of worry and anxiety. "Ms. Devereux, Brady has gone on a business trip to Radiantia. I'm afraid he might be in danger, so I came to ask you if I can go help him?"
After Calliope finished speaking, Violet was stunned for a moment, her eyebrows instantly furrowing. "Why would he be in danger? Isn't it a business trip?"
"No, it's because of the Emerson incident," Calliope didn't know if Brady had told Violet, so she just said it directly.
But after saying it, she regretted it. It seemed that Violet didn't know at all.
"When are you going? Take me with you?" Sure enough, he hadn't told her, which was a problem.
Violet furrowed her brows tightly, biting her lip as she spoke.
Calliope was stunned for a moment, regretting that she had told her, "Ms. Devereux, you can't go."
"It's okay, I won't be a bother. I'll just watch from the side," Violet said.
"But..." Calliope still didn't want her to take the risk.
"Even if you don't take me, now that I know, I will go anyway. So you might as well take me along, and consider it as protecting me." Violet suddenly grabbed her hand, her eyes welling up with tears.
She was very worried about Brady.
Calliope was silent for a while, then said, "Okay, then pack your things. I'm getting ready to go to the airport."
Violet nodded, holding back her tears, and went to ask Max for leave.
After getting the leave, she and Calliope went back to pack their luggage.
On the way back, the more Violet thought about it, the more scared she became. She was afraid something might happen to Brady, afraid that he wouldn't have time to know that he was going to have another child.
In this state of worry, she directly sent him the video of the fetal heartbeat that she had recorded that morning.
