Chapter 415 Brady Got Hurt
Pelinka put on a sad face and spoke in a broken voice. "We didn't make her scandal public in order to keep things quiet, but when she was with the Devereux family, her private life was a mess. She was fooling around with other guys and even cheated on Brady. That's why we kicked her out. Now, I hear Brady is dating Violet. I didn't want to say anything, but I'm worried about you. Violet is bad news, and Brady should get tested for AIDS."
Pelinka's words were dripping with malice, and Matilda's face changed, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.
This was just too much.
Pelinka continued, "I don't know if you believe me, but I'm telling the truth. I'm also scared Brady might catch this incurable disease. And it's not just that she ignores Gerry; how could she get Brady to fire Lilian? Lilian is such a sweet, hardworking girl at the Hall Group, and because of this, Violet retaliated against her, forcing her to resign."
Pelinka, getting all emotional, started crying on purpose. "Matilda, you have to help me. Violet is so vicious, using the Hall Group's power to bully us. Don't be fooled by her gentle act; she's ruthless and might even harm Brady."
"Please don't cry. We're getting older, and too much stress isn't good for our health," Matilda said, snapping out of her shock and handing her a tissue.
Then, she started thinking about the situation.
"I can't help myself. She's been bullying us through Brady and even forced Lilian to kneel and beg her. Lilian is her sister, and she still retaliated against her," Pelinka said, pressing the tissue to her eyes and crying even harder.
Matilda's frown deepened. "I'll go ask."
If Violet was really that promiscuous and had AIDS, she wouldn't let her off the hook.
The Hall family only had Brady as an heir.
If he got AIDS, wouldn't that mean the end of the Hall family line?
She couldn't ignore something like this.
"Thank you," Pelinka said, feeling relieved and smirking inside. Violet was done for.
Pelinka suddenly remembered Brady's injury and started badmouthing Violet again. "Oh, there's one more thing. I don't know if I should tell you."
"What is it?" Matilda asked, listening closely.
"Brady got hurt by a steel bar because of Violet. He's still in the hospital, and they didn't dare tell you, did they?" Pelinka hinted coldly. "This happened because Violet insisted on Brady attending a show, which led to his injury. I heard he might be disabled. Matilda, you must go check him out."
Matilda's face changed dramatically. Brady was injured? And they kept it from her?
The more Matilda thought about it, the more worried she got. The teacup in her hand fell and shattered at her feet. The butler, startled, rushed over to check if Matilda's foot was cut.
Luckily, it wasn't.
The butler then squatted down to pick up the pieces.
Meanwhile, Matilda, restless, took out her phone and immediately called Brady.
