Chapter 680 I Came Here for the Sake of Violet's Dignity
Eileen took Juniper to the mountains in the suburbs, while Ethan and Brady headed to the hospital to see James.
When they arrived, James filled them in on Juniper's call and then said, "Mr. Hall, can you help me get the news about Juniper disappearance taken down? Can you do that?"
"And Ethan, I need you to hold a press conference to let everyone know Juniper is safe. I don't want to anger Eileen; she might do something drastic."
James had been mulling over the situation, and these seemed like the only ways to avoid provoking Eileen.
If she got provoked and decided to take Juniper down with her, what would happen to him?
"Should we call the police?" Brady asked after James finished explaining.
Even if they didn't want to make a big deal out of it, the police would definitely investigate.
"I want to handle this myself," James said. He had thought about involving the police, but he couldn't risk provoking Eileen. "So, Mr. Hall, I know you influence New Future City. Can you help us out?"
"I'd be forever grateful."
James knew Brady could help, and in this area, only he could get things done.
It was just a matter of whether he was willing to help.
"Mr. Lawson, you don't need to be so formal. If I wasn't willing to help, I wouldn't be here," Brady said calmly, looking at James.
"Thank you, Mr. Hall," James said sincerely, nodding gratefully.
Brady didn't need his gratitude. He simply said, "I'm doing this for Violet's sake." Everything he did was for Violet.
As long as she asked, he would do anything.
James and Ethan were momentarily stunned but then understood and didn't say more.
"You two talk. I need to check on Violet," Brady said, glancing at the time. He had time to find Eileen before tomorrow.
James didn't try to keep him. "How's Violet?"
"She's fine," Brady replied. "Mr. Lawson, I'll be going now."
"Alright, take care," James nodded.
Brady acknowledged and left the room to visit Violet at another private hospital.
Ethan went to prepare for the press conference.
Everyone was busy with their tasks, and Helen's flight soon landed at the capital's airport.
Helen, accompanied by her lawyer and other personnel, headed straight to Ethan's hotel. She didn't know James was hospitalized and planned to ask Ethan about Juniper's disappearance first.
When she arrived at the hotel, Ethan wasn't there.
Helen had the lawyer contact him immediately.
The call connected quickly, and the lawyer informed Ethan about Helen's arrival. Ethan fell silent; he had planned to handle everything before telling her.
But now she was here.
After a few seconds of silence, Ethan said, "Mr. Zhang, please help my mom check in. I'll come to see you later."
The lawyer understood and relayed the message to Helen.
Helen wasn't interested in checking in; she just wanted to know where Juniper was.
She grabbed the lawyer's phone, her voice hoarse and urgent from the flight, "Ethan, where's Juniper? I saw online that she's missing. Is it true?"
Ethan was helpless. "Mom, don't worry. I'll handle it."
"How can I not worry? She's your sister, my daughter. How can I not worry when she's missing?" Helen's voice broke, tears welling up.
"And where's your father? Where is he?" She knew some things would inevitably come to light this time.
She didn't care anymore, as long as Juniper was safe.
Even if he found out the truth and wanted a divorce, she wouldn't mind.
"Dad's at the hospital too," Ethan said reluctantly.
"The hospital? What happened? Which hospital?" Helen's face turned pale, her heart racing.
"Sunridge Community Hospital."
"Alright, I got it." Helen hung up, determined to see James first.
