Chapter 177 She Will Definitely Become Mrs. Brady Hall

Right after, Violet hung up without hesitation.

The dial tone buzzed from her phone as Brady Hall, working late, leaned back against the leather chair, his gaze deep and troubled. Nicole's been taken? What was happening?

Without hesitation, Brady dialed his assistant, "Linda, get the car ready. I'm heading over to Violet Devereux's."

This was the first time Brady had issued an order with such gravity. Linda, hearing the urgency over the phone, didn't dare delay, replied without hesitation, "Mr. Hall, I’m on it."

With a screech of tires, Linda maneuvered the Bentley around from the parking garage to the front of the building to wait for Brady, the engine idling in anticipation.

As Brady grabbed his smartphone and took the elevator down, he texted Violet: Miss Devereux, who took Nicole? What happened?

After sending this message, he sent another: Don’t worry, I'm on my way. Hang in there.

With that, Brady stared into the elevator mirror, his mind consumed with thoughts.

To be completely honest, Brady Hall would have continued to treat the twins as his own until he found undeniable evidence proving otherwise beyond just the paternity test results. So when Nicole disappeared, his worry naturally tagged along.

Mulling over the situation, Brady found himself descending quickly in the company's elevator, landing in the lobby soon after. As he was about to step out of the building, there she was: Lilian Devereux. She was all dolled up, wearing a seductive figure-hugging miniskirt and teetering on eight-inch heels, carrying a homemade heart-shaped dinner she'd timed just right to run into him at the Hall family's company.

Having bribed one of Brady's staff members, Lilian knew that he would be working late tonight. As luck would have it, he was indeed at the office, and even more fortuitously, he was just coming downstairs as she arrived.

Spotting him, Lilian's eyes sparkled a few degrees brighter, and her heart pounded fiercely. She quickly ran her hands through her hair to ensure every strand was in place. Hurrying across from one side of the building, she mustered up the courage to call out to the man about to rush to his car. "Mr. Hall, are you heading home?" she inquired.

Upon hearing her voice, Brady stopped and turned to glance at her with an expression that was more cool detachment than any real interest, tinged with impatience. "Ms. Devereux, do you need something?" he asked flatly.

"Yes." Lilian looked at the tall, exceptionally handsome man before her. Her heart raced even more wildly; he was utterly breathtaking. Not just in looks, but his wealth and background were jaw-dropping. She fantasized about marrying him and taking her place as the undisputed First Lady of New York's elite CEOs. She imagined all the high society women lining up to kiss her. Just thinking about it made her bask in delight.

With urgency in his voice, his patience wearing thin, "If you have something to say, make it quick. I'm in a hurry." He didn't really want to hear her out, but needing to maintain a decent image in front of the company's employees, he suppressed his impatience.

"It's nothing serious. I knew you'd be working late, Mr. Hall, so I thought you might not have had dinner. I've made some of my best dishes for you." Lilian's cheeks flushed as she timidly offered him the thermal container.

Brady glanced at the container with little interest and responded, "Thank you, Ms. Devereux, but I have other matters to attend to. If there's nothing else pressing, you can go home." With that, he smoothly slid into his Bentley and drove off, leaving her in a cloud of exhaust fumes that provoked a fit of coughing.
As Brady Hall's car mercilessly pulled away, her beautiful eyes tightened in resolve.

She wouldn't accept defeat.

She would undoubtedly win over Brady Hall and become his wife.
