Chapter 370 Violet is so Unfilial, and I'll Make it Public
Violet double-checked the address Amelia gave her; it was in some swanky villa neighborhood.
She knew the area from her time with the Devereux family. It was near Matilda's place, just across the street.
Still, it was all part of New Future City's rich district.
After confirming the address, Violet grabbed the design draft for Amelia and headed out.
If Amelia couldn't make up her mind this time, Violet was done. The dress wouldn't be ready, and she didn't really care.
Violet took her design draft and bag, took the elevator down, and bumped into Lilian as soon as she stepped out. They locked eyes like enemies.
But Violet didn't have time for her. She glanced at Lilian and walked straight out.
Suddenly, Lilian blocked her path, arms crossed, with a nasty look. "Violet, Dad's sick. Aren't you gonna see him? Don't be an ingrate."
Violet looked at her. "Isn't he with you guys?" It wasn't that Violet was unfilial, but Gerry had never been doing his job as a father to her.
He ignored her and let Eileen and Lilian bully her.
When Violet's mom was seriously ill, she begged Gerry for help, but he refused. To Violet, he was already dead.
"You're really unfilial," Lilian said, faking sincerity. "Dad's been thinking about you since he was ill."
"I don't know if he thinks about me. But I won't be tricked like last time." Violet had been fooled once and wouldn't fall for it again.
Seeing Violet unmoved, Lilian got anxious. Gerry was sick but not seriously. They wanted to trick her, but Violet had wised up.
Lilian got furious. "You're so cold and heartless!"
"And you?" Violet shot back. "When my mom was ill, did you help? Did you have any conscience?" She didn't want to bring it up; it hurt too much.
So, she didn't wait for Lilian's response and walked out quickly.
Violet was no longer part of the Devereux family. Why should she care if someone there was sick?
She walked away without hesitation. Lilian stood there, glaring, her fingers digging into her palms.
Violet had Brady's backing now, so Lilian couldn't lay a finger on her. Plus, who knew when Oliver would recover?
Lilian was desperate to get rid of Violet.
After glaring for a while, Lilian put away her anger, took out her phone, and called her mom. "Mom, Violet isn't coming back to see Dad."
"I knew she wouldn't. She won't fall for it again," Eileen said coldly.
"Mom, what are we gonna do?" Lilian was worried they wouldn't get rid of Violet.
Eileen snorted. "In that case, I'll make it public and let everyone know JK employs an ingrate."
Lilian smiled. "Mom, that's a great idea. Violet's got a global show coming up. If we expose her then, she'll be humiliated."
"Exactly," Eileen laughed.
They quickly agreed to use Gerry's illness to ruin Violet's reputation.
