Chapter 372 Woman Bought with Money Talking About Feelings
"Mr. White, I got stuff to do, sorry," Violet shot back, all stiff and icy.
Aiden wasn't having it. He stepped closer, all bossy, "Ms. DeVere, what’s got you so spooked? I ain't gonna bite."
Violet backed up quickly, giving him the cold shoulder. "Mr. White, seriously, I got things to handle."
She wasn't in the mood for more chit-chat. She spun around, heading for the door. Aiden grabbed her arm, yanking her back. "Ms. DeVere, you really gonna be this rude?"
"Mr. White, let go!" Violet snapped, hating his pushy vibe; it reminded her too much of Brady.
"What's the hurry? Just stay for dinner!" Aiden's laugh was cold, sending shivers down her spine. She really couldn't stand this creep.
Brady was pushy too, but at least he wasn't a total perv.
"Mr. White, thanks but no thanks." Violet tried to shake free, but when that didn't work, she didn't care about being polite. She stomped hard on Aiden's toes with her heel.
Aiden was in slippers, no protection. Her heel came down like a spike.
Aiden yelped in pain and let go. Violet bolted for the door, flung it open, and dashed out.
Aiden's toe throbbed too much to chase her. He just stood there, cursing under his breath, glaring at the open door.
'Violet, you're savage! Still saving yourself for Brady? Do you even know your place? Brady's just toying with you. He'll ditch you soon. You'd be better off with me; at least I'd keep you around for a while,' Aiden fumed in his head.
"Aiden, you okay?" As soon as Violet left, Amelia's jealousy vanished. She rushed over, acting all concerned.
Aiden just felt annoyed. He shoved her away. "Get lost, don't bug me."
"Aiden, I really care about you. Why are you like this?" Amelia whined. She didn't really care, but after being with him for so long, she had some feelings.
Aiden was a jerk, but he was generous.
Amelia had caught some feelings for him.
But his heart was ice-cold, like he never really cared, and he'd never do that to any woman.
"Cut the crap. You just want my money. Stop pretending," Aiden snapped. He'd been with too many women to fall for Amelia's act.
To him, it was a joke that Amelia, who he paid for, was talking about feelings.
Aiden's harsh words stung, and Amelia's voice softened. "I am not, I really care."
Aiden wasn't moved; he just found it funny.
He knew she was faking it for cash. 'You think I'm dumb?' he thought.
Aiden grabbed her chin, laughing coldly. "If you care so much, get on your knees and lick my toes!"
Amelia's eyes went wide in shock.
"What? Didn't you say you care? You won't even do this?" Aiden sneered. "So, why bother? It disgusts me. You're just someone I paid for sex."
"Don't talk to me about feelings." Aiden let go of her chin, disgusted, and headed upstairs to his study.
Amelia watched him go, then suddenly found some courage. She grabbed his hand, knelt down, and gently touched his hurt toe. "Aiden, I can do it."
