Chapter 894 You Can't Stay Single for Him, Right
Julie was lost in thought when Dora White, a maid she was close to, couldn't help but tease her. "Julie, Mr. Hall is here. Shouldn't you be making a move?"
As soon as Dora said this, the other maids who knew about Julie's crush burst into laughter.
Julie felt extremely embarrassed.
This joke wasn't funny at all.
Turning to Dora, she said, "Dora, stop teasing me. Brady is married. You all saw it, didn't you?"
Dora replied, "I thought you guys could have two wives?"
"And besides, Mr. Hall left you here and told us to treat you like a lady of the house. What man would do that for no reason?"
"It's different. My brother saved his life once. He's just repaying my brother by taking care of me," Julie said, fully aware that Brady would never love her, let alone marry her.
If he liked her, he would have taken her to Crestoria and arranged for her citizenship.
But he didn't. He got married in Crestoria and even brought Violet and two kids here. Julie knew it was impossible.
She was just a girl with a crush, still dreaming.
"So, are you planning to stay on this island forever?" Dora thought Julie was young, and it would be a waste of her life and youth to stay in this isolated place.
"Julie, you're young. There's a whole world out there with new experiences and people. Since Mr. Hall is married, you can't just wait around for him forever, can you?"
Julie wanted to go out and see the world, but there were things she couldn't tell them.
Her brother had offended an organization years ago, and they were still hunting down his family, determined to eliminate them.
So, she couldn't leave.
"Dora, thank you for your concern. I'm fine here," Julie said softly, sighing as she looked out at the handsome Brady standing in the sunlight.
She sighed inwardly. If only he liked her.
But that wasn't going to happen, was it?
Meanwhile, in the villa next to Brady's, Diana sat on the couch, tense and anxious, watching Arthur working on his laptop.
She didn't want to be here, but Arthur seemed afraid she would get close to Bram and forced her to come.
Once here, he wouldn't let her go out.
He watched her like a prisoner.
This made Diana very uncomfortable, but more than that, she was scared.
She knew that because she was on the opposite side of Elio, he saw her as a thorn in his side. If he got upset, he could kill her at any moment.
Thinking about this, Diana was naturally terrified.
She didn't want to die in a foreign land.
So, sitting alone with him in the quiet room, she felt like she was on edge.
This oppressive atmosphere lasted for half an hour before Diana couldn't take it anymore.
She stood up, trying to control her fear and irritation, and said as calmly as she could, "Arthur, can I go out for a bit?"
Arthur, looking at his laptop, scoffed and said, "Sit down. If I'm not going out, why should you?"
Diana couldn't hold back anymore. Biting her lip, she said, "You don't have to worry about me. Grandpa is far from here. I just need some fresh air."
Being with him for even a second was unbearable.
