Chapter 797 Two Sisters

A week later, the Hall family mansion was bathed in the warm glow of dawn.

Violet woke up early to a call from Max.

Darian had agreed to collaborate with their company, JK.

They were planning to sign the contract in a few days.

Of course, Violet would need to be present for the signing.

Violet had thought the idea of getting Darian to join JK was a lost cause.

She was surprised that, after several months, he had reached out to them to agree to the deal.

She wasn't sure what had changed his mind, but she wasn't about to turn him away.

JK was in desperate need of taking a step up.

During the time she was on maternity leave, Max had informed her that a well-known international design company had set up shop in New Future City.

This company was backed by a famous international brand and had quickly acquired several design firms in the industry.

Now, only JK, EMO, and Aether Studio remained independent.

But if they didn't secure more design resources soon, JK would struggle to survive, even with the support of the Hall Group.

So, Darian's willingness to sign was a welcome development.

However, Violet had just given birth a month ago and was recovering.

She couldn't return to work immediately, so she asked Max to inform her of the signing date, and she would make sure to be there.

After settling things with Max, Violet went upstairs to the nursery to check on her newborn daughter.

The room was decorated in pink, fit for a little princess.

Henry and Nicole were gathered around the baby, watching her sleep with curiosity and delight.

Ever since their little sister had come home from the hospital, they had been fascinated by her.

They came to see her every day.

Violet quietly joined them, sitting down to watch the baby with them.

"Mom, why is she always sleeping?" Henry asked, resting his chin on his hand.

He had been observing his little sister for a long time and noticed that she seemed to be constantly sleeping, curled up and snoozing away.

After Henry asked, Nicole chimed in with her sweet, childlike voice, "Mom, she's so tiny."

"You two were just like her when you were babies, always sleeping," Violet said gently, stroking their hair.

She was pleased that Henry and Nicole were so fond of their little sister.

They didn't feel neglected because of the new baby.

Instead, they were eager to help her and Brady take care of their sister.

"Really? We were like this, too?" Henry was amazed, his deep eyes, so much like Brady's, widening in disbelief.

He couldn't imagine himself sleeping all the time like his little sister. He thought he must have been as energetic as a superhero.

"Of course," Violet laughed.

"Mom, I don't believe it. I don't sleep that much," Henry protested.

Nicole giggled softly beside him.

Henry was being silly.

He loved to sleep in, so how could he claim he didn't sleep much?

"I have videos of you from back then. Do you want to see?" Violet teased, reaching for her phone.

Henry quickly waved his hands, "No, no."

Just then, Hellen came in quietly and said, "Violet, your dad is here to see the baby."

Violet's heart lifted at the mention of James.

She stood up immediately, saying, "Great, let him in."

James had been staying in Crestoria for the past six months, visiting Evelyn's grave every day, rain or shine.

This devotion had softened her heart, and she no longer held any resentment towards him.

Hellen nodded, glancing at the baby sleeping soundly in the cradle, her heart swelling with affection.

The baby looked a lot like Nicole.

With the two sisters around, the house would be even more lively.
