Chapter 359 Don't Overthink It, We Are Family
With a bunch of doubts swirling around, Violet, clutching Nicole, trailed behind the agent and her aunt into the apartment building.
They hopped in the elevator, and when they got to the floor, the apartment door was half-open, with the client chilling inside.
The agent peeked in and, all hyped up, swung the door open for Hellen. "Lady Hall, you can have a good chat now."
Hellen gave a grateful nod. "Thanks."
The agent grinned. "Just doing my job."
After some small talk, the agent quickly approached the client, a young dude in a sharp suit, and said, "Mr. Johnson, sorry for the wait. The homeowner's here."
Mr. Johnson turned and spotted Violet. He almost bowed, remembering she was Brady's precious one, but straightened up real quick. "Hello, I wanna buy your house."
Hellen gave him the once-over, thinking he seemed pretty legit. She smiled. "Hello, Mr. Johnson."
"If you got any questions, now's the time," the agent chimed in as they started chatting.
Violet watched Mr. Johnson, feeling like he looked kinda familiar but couldn't place him. Deciding not to stress about it, she played with Henry and Nicole on the couch.
Hellen and Mr. Johnson got into the nitty-gritty about the house. In less than ten minutes, he was all in, surprising and delighting Hellen with his quick decision.
Mr. Johnson wanted to drop the full amount right away, which had Hellen over the moon. With this cash, she and Violet could start hunting for a new crib.
"Mr. Johnson, you sure you wanna buy my house?" Hellen asked, buzzing with excitement.
Mr. Johnson nodded. "Yep, shall we sign the contract now?"
"Alright." Hellen, super stoked, signed the contract with Mr. Johnson.
After signing, Mr. Johnson wired $500,000 to Hellen in a few transactions.
Seeing the bank notification, Hellen's hands shook. As they left the apartment, she hugged Violet tight. "Violet, we can finally get a better place for Henry and Nicole."
"How about we go out for dinner later?" Hellen suggested, letting go of Violet. "This is such a sweet surprise. I didn't think selling the house would be this easy."
"Aunt Hellen, thank you." Violet felt a wave of gratitude.
Hellen had given up so much for Violet's kids. Violet was beyond thankful for Hellen's love and care and promised herself she'd repay her kindness.
"Sweetie, don't even mention it." Hellen saw Violet as her own daughter. Gently touching Violet's face, she said, "We're family. Let's roll."
Violet wiped her tears and nodded.
Not long after they left, "Mr. Johnson" called Brady to report he had snagged the house.
