Chapter 877 Nicole, Don't Cry, I Will Take Care of You
After Darian took Nicole away, Henry stared at the toy Darian had just crushed underfoot.
Terrified, he burst into tears and ran back home.
Once inside, Henry, still crying, headed straight for the kitchen to find Hellen.
Hellen was in the kitchen making juice.
Darian hadn't visited in years, and this was his first time here, so she wanted to make sure he felt welcome.
She was patiently cutting fruit and making juice when Henry, sobbing uncontrollably, ran up to her.
Seeing him so upset, Hellen assumed he had fought with Nicole. She quickly asked, "Henry, what's wrong? Did you and Nicole fight?"
Henry shook his head and pointed towards the door. "That bad man took Nicole away."
Hellen was confused.
What bad man? How could there be a bad man in their home?
"Henry, what are you talking about?"
Henry sniffled, his voice urgent and tearful. "That man, he took Nicole away."
A man? Darian?
Hellen's heart sank. She grabbed Henry's hand and rushed to the living room, only to find it empty.
Nicole and Darian were gone.
The nanny was in the hallway, feeding the baby, seemingly unaware of what had happened in the living room.
Hellen stood there, stunned and at a loss.
Henry kept tugging at her hand, crying, "Hellen, find Nicole."
Hellen snapped out of her daze, her face pale. She never imagined Darian would take Nicole away.
But why would he take Nicole?
Panicking, she quickly called Violet.
After the call, she took Henry's hand and went outside to look.
By the time they got outside, Darian's car was long gone.
Hellen couldn't see the car and began frantically searching the entire neighborhood, crying and calling out Nicole's name.
But no matter how loudly she shouted, Nicole couldn't hear her.
Nicole was in Darian's arms, forcibly held in place inside the car, unable to move.
The lollipop Darian had given her earlier had fallen onto the car mat during her struggle.
Nicole was terrified, trembling as she looked at Darian, her eyes wet with tears. Her small lips quivered as she pleaded, "I want to go home."
"Nicole, be good. I'm taking you to a new home, okay?" Darian's eyes were cold and devoid of emotion as he looked at Nicole, gently stroking her fluffy hair.
Nicole shook her head, tears streaming down her face. She cried, "I want to go home."
"I told you, I'll take you to a new home. There, you'll have lots of lollipops, and I'll take special care of you, okay?" Darian softened his tone, trying to comfort her as he saw her tears.
But Nicole didn't want to go with him. She continued to cry.
She just wanted her mom and dad, and to be with Henry.
And the baby.
She wanted to wear the pretty dresses her mom bought with the baby.
She didn't want to go to a new home.
"Nicole, stop crying. I'll take good care of you," Darian continued.
Up front, Alaric, who was driving, felt a chill down his spine.
So Darian had come here to take Nicole away?
This couldn't happen!
Not only was Brady's child, but taking someone else's little girl like this was illegal.
Alaric didn't want Darian to go too far down this path.
He deliberately drove towards the meeting point he had arranged with Lucien.
He needed to save him, to stop him from ruining everything.
