Chapter 980 As Long as Lucien Drinks This Glass of Wine, He Won't Escape from Her Palm
Willow had set up the reunion at the swankiest spot in New Future City, the 'Superstar Club.'
Out of the 35 classmates, about half showed up.
Some were still abroad, and others were unable to attend.
However, having 15 people attend was already quite impressive.
Around 8 PM, everyone started arriving at the 'Superstar Club.' Violet, who always looked out for her classmates, didn't head in right away. Instead, she stayed in the car with Brady in the parking lot, waiting for Emily to show up.
After about 10 minutes, Emily's car finally pulled up.
Violet got out and went inside with her.
Emily wasn't exactly thrilled about the reunion, so she kept it simple. She wore a plain white cotton-linen dress and light makeup.
She looked pretty low-key.
The two of them walked hand in hand to the private room for the reunion.
As soon as they walked in, they saw that 7 or 8 classmates were already there. Everyone stared at Violet and Emily as they entered.
They were definitely the beauties of their school days.
Even after five years, they were still stunning.
Everyone's eyes were glued to them, making things a bit awkward.
Thankfully, the class president quickly invited them to sit down, and the room returned to its lively chatter.
Violet and Emily sat down on one side, and the female classmates gave them jealous and disdainful looks, while the male classmates ogled them.
These unfriendly gazes made Violet want to leave after just a few seconds.
If it weren't for Emily, she would have left.
The room continued to buzz with activity, and a few minutes later, Willow arrived with Lucien.
Willow hadn't expected Lucien to actually agree to come with her.
But he did, and Willow was thrilled!
Lucien was even more handsome in person than in his photos.
Willow was instantly smitten.
Her face flushed, and she looked shy.
In contrast to Lucien's cold demeanor, it was quite a sight, but Willow didn't mind.
As long as Marlowe helped her, she could marry him.
They entered the private room, and Lucien immediately noticed Violet and Emily.
His handsome face showed a hint of expression, and his deep eyes scrutinized Emily.
Emily saw him too. Was he really Willow's boyfriend?
Then, why did he mention her? Emily felt annoyed and quickly looked away in disgust.
Lucien noticed her disdainful look, and his eyes darkened. Did she really dislike him?
As they exchanged glances, Willow noticed.
Her overly made-up face darkened. Lucien was hers, and she couldn't let Emily take him.
But Lucien wasn't a man who could be easily controlled. After looking away from Emily, he left Willow and sat next to Emily, though he left a seat between them to avoid being too obvious.
Willow was furious, her eyes blazing.
She couldn't accept such humiliation.
She clenched her fists, suppressed her anger, and put on a gentle facade, moving closer to Lucien.
"Lucien, want something to drink?" Willow asked sweetly, trying to act cute.
Lucien had only come because Marlowe had begged him, and he wasn't interested in Willow. He replied coldly, "I'll sit for a bit and then leave."
This made Willow awkward.
She bit her lip and glared at Emily.
She couldn't lose to Violet and Emily, those two wretched women!
She hadn't lost in high school, and she wouldn't lose now!
With that thought, Willow decided to take a risk.
While Lucien wasn't paying attention, she took a quick-dissolve capsule from her bag, pretended to pour a drink, and discreetly dropped the capsule into the glass.
Once Lucien drank it, he wouldn't be able to escape her grasp.
