Chapter 734 Darian Liked Violet

"What? You know him?" Max asked, clearly taken aback.

He glanced at Violet, his face a mix of confusion and curiosity.

This legendary designer was a bit of a mystery. Foreign media had tried to capture his image, but apart from the occasional press conference, paparazzi rarely got a shot of him.

So, how could Violet, who seemed to have always been in Crestoria and never attended any international events, possibly know him?

"I said I might know him," Violet replied, handing the file back to Max. "He looks like my old high school senior, and they share the same name. But I haven't been in touch with him for years, so I can't be sure."

Max nodded, then suddenly grinned. "Violet, if you know him, that would be amazing. We at JK wouldn't have to jump through hoops to get him on board."

Violet wasn't so optimistic. She had turned that senior down back in the day.

Was she going to track him down now? He might just slam the door in her face.

The guy she rejected is now a big shot, and she has to ask him to join JK.

Wasn't she just setting herself up for embarrassment?

"Mr. Green, I think it might not be that simple. We had some issues back then, and I feel it could be tricky."

Max frowned, not having considered that angle.

After a moment, he said, "I think even if there were issues, he's a world-class designer. He wouldn't hold a grudge this long, right? He might not even remember you."

His words made Violet think.

He had a point. She just turned him down, right? A grown man wouldn't hold a grudge for that long, would he?

Violet felt she might be overthinking it.

But there was a problem.

She wasn't sure if he was the Darian she knew.

If he were, should she try to invite him?

"Mr. Green, I'll call a friend to confirm if it's him. I can't be sure it's the Darian I know right now," Violet said after a moment of thought.

Max had no objections.

This needed to be handled carefully, especially since other big companies were also offering high prices to recruit him.

The competition was fierce.

The two of them continued discussing how to invite this genius designer to join their company.

After the conversation, Violet left Max's office.

As soon as she stepped out, she called Emily.

Emily wasn't busy today and was happy to chat. "Violet, it's been a while since you called me."

Violet smiled, holding her phone. "The Hall family and the Stanley family have had some issues recently, so we've been busy."

"The Stanley family, huh? I've heard about it. Is Arthur okay?" Arthur's family issues had been making headlines recently, with his uncle accusing him of murder.

Emily increasingly saw the necessity of having only one child.

Families like hers and Brady's, with only one child, avoided such internal conflicts.

All the inheritance would go to one person.

No one to fight, no one to compete, no life-or-death struggles.

"He should be fine. We know how capable he is," Violet said with a smile. "But I called you for another reason."

Emily responded, "What is it?"

"Do you remember Darian? The handsome guy a year ahead of us? He used to pursue me, and I turned him down. Do you remember?" Violet's memory of Darian's exact appearance was a bit fuzzy, but she vaguely remembered him as clean, sunny, and handsome.

Beyond that, her memory of him was blurry.

"Darian?" Emily was a bit shocked to hear that name. "Why are you bringing him up all of a sudden?"

Darian liked Violet.
