Chapter 373 Violet, You Should Meet Her Then
Amelia sucked it up and got down to licking Aiden's toes. Meanwhile, Violet, still freaked out, bolted out of the villa and tried to flag down a cab to get back to the office.
She was still waving her hand when someone called out, "Violet, what are you doing here?"
Violet spun around and was surprised to see Matilda. She quickly greeted her, "Matilda."
Matilda strolled over with a warm smile and unusually gentle eyes, saying, "Well, look who it is! How about you come over to my place for dinner tonight?"
Violet felt awkward, "Matilda, I'd love to, but I got stuff to do."
Matilda, who had a soft spot for Violet's beauty and gentleness, grabbed her hand, saying, "Brady already told me about you two."
'About us?' Violet frowned, looking at Matilda with some anxiety. 'Did Brady spill the beans about the kids?'
"What about us?"
"That you two are together!" Matilda was so happy she could hardly stop grinning.
"Brady told me you two are dating, that's wonderful," Matilda added.
'So that's what it is.' Violet had thought the Hall family knew about the kids. She let out a sigh of relief. She didn't want the Hall family to know about her kids just yet because she figured Brady's parents wouldn't be too thrilled.
At the last socialite cocktail party, Violet had heard a bit about Brady's mom.
Brady's mom, Ava, was about to come back to the country, and if she did, she'd definitely look for Brady.
Violet had mixed feelings about Ava. On one hand, she hoped Ava would step in and keep Brady away from her and the kids. On the other hand, she worried about what would happen if Ava wanted to take the kids away.
So Violet was pretty scared of the latter scenario.
"Violet, don't be shy. Brady's a good guy." Matilda, seeing Violet's silence, thought she was just shy and continued, "Come on, come back to the villa with me for a bit. I'll have Brady come back for dinner too."
"Matilda, I..." Violet really didn't want to go.
But Matilda was super enthusiastic, holding her hand tightly and not letting go. Violet had no choice but to follow her to Matilda's villa.
Once inside, Matilda immediately had the butler prepare the finest tea and fancy pastries for Violet to enjoy.
While Violet was nibbling on them, Matilda had already gone to her dressing room to get her jewelry.
Violet was the first girlfriend Brady had acknowledged. Matilda wanted to give her some jewelry to show her feelings.
Soon, Matilda came over to Violet with several valuable pearl jewelry pieces and said, "Violet, I think these pearl jewelry pieces are perfect for young girls like you, so I'm giving them to you."
Violet looked at the pearl jewelry in Matilda's hand. She recognized the brand; they were top-grade freshwater pearls. Each piece cost at least tens of thousands of dollars, and Matilda was giving her a whole set. Altogether, they must be worth around $500,000. It was too expensive, and Violet felt too embarrassed to accept them.
She quickly refused, "Matilda, I can't accept this gift."
"Take it," Matilda insisted, as she liked Violet and was willing to give them to her.
Violet really felt too embarrassed to accept, and as they were pushing and refusing, Matilda's phone rang. Matilda answered the call first.
On the other end of the line was Brady's mom, Ava, calling from across the ocean. "Mom, I'm planning to come back around the end of the month."
"Really? That's great. If you come back, it will be perfect timing. There's good news to tell you," Matilda said with a smile.
Ava, unaware of Brady's girlfriend, replied with a laugh, "What's the good news?"
Matilda said, "You'll find out when you get back. I won't tell you now."
Ava replied, "Alright, Matilda, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."
Matilda nodded. "Okay."
After hanging up, Matilda turned to Violet on the sofa and said, "Violet, Ava is coming back. You should meet her then."
Hearing this, Violet was slightly stunned.
'Is Brady's mom coming back so soon?' Violet pondered whether she would help her get rid of Brady.
