Chapter 227 Under Brady's Serious and Aloof Appearance Lies a Naughty Heart
"Is that so?" Brady's eyes were deep as if they could devour her.
Violet really didn't like being stared at like that. She averted her gaze and said, "Yes, Brady, if you have nothing else, Mr. Green and I will head back to JK."
Upon hearing that, Max chimed in, "Mr. Hall, we should go first."
"You don’t have to be anxious to leave. I have something to discuss with Violet." Brady's voice was faint yet authoritative. "Violet, take my car. We can talk on the way."
Violet's back tensed instantly. She knew that being with Brady meant trouble.
"Brady, we can talk about it here and now." Violet didn't want to get into his car.
Brady smiled, "What are you afraid of, Violet? Do I need to repeatedly invite you for a mere business talk? Do you think I, as the chairman of Hall Group, lack the qualifications to invite you to my car, or are all people from JK as arrogant and vigilant as you?"
Violet clenched delicate hand into a fist.
Brady was doing it on purpose.
"Violet, you’d better discuss today's matters with Brady," Max sensed Brady's displeasure in his tone.
He didn't consider that Brady might have ulterior motives for wanting to keep Violet to stay.
He just didn't want Brady to think that they are arrogant.
Violet didn't want to go at all. She bit her lip, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Alright."
"Then I'll go first." Max headed to the parking lot.
Violet watched Max leave and couldn't help but turn back to the man beside her. "Brady, why can't you talk about it here? Why do we have to get in your car?"
"You are short-tempered." Brady also looked at her, his voice becoming husky. "Can’t I invite you to get into my car?"
"If it's really about business, I will naturally go. I'm just afraid you have some bad intentions, Brady," Violet said, her face stiff.
"What bad intentions could I have?" Brady smirked, a hint of dominance in his tone. "Do you think I will have sex with you in the car? The space there is too narrow for that, and I can't even stretch properly. You don't need to worry at all, Violet."
His words were too explicit, and Violet's face instantly turned red. She pursed her lips and remained silent.
It was truly embarrassing.
She was starting to realize that beneath Brady's serious and aloof appearance was a naughty heart.
"Violet, do you plan to stand here and let others watch your blushing face?" Brady glanced at her and said, "Let's go. My car is right ahead."
After Brady finished speaking, he walked out first.
Violet suppressed the anger in her heart, then followed him.
They finally reached his car.
Brady leisurely leaned back in the leather seat and instructed the driver to start the car.
As the car slowly left the hotel, Violet glanced at the scenery outside the window and said coldly, "Brady, if you have any business to discuss with me, you can start now."
What business could Brady have to discuss with her? He slightly closed his eyes and reached out to gently touch her soft hair, saying affectionately, "Violet, you're so smart. You don’t need to ask about that at all. What else can I do after managed to invite you to get into my car?"
His palm was warm and delicate.
As he caressed her head, Violet tensed immediately, and she instinctively wanted to dodge.
But it was narrow in the car, and she couldn't move away at all.
She let him stroke her long hair.
"I'm a bit tired now. I had a late-night meeting last night. I'll rest for a while and then take you out for a meal," Brady said indulgently, continuing to run his fingers through her soft hair. He really hadn't done anything to her. He just withdrew his gentle hand, closed his eyes, and rested in the seat.
Violet turned her head to look at him, and indeed, he was resting with his eyes closed.
She couldn't help but furrow her brows slightly and remained silent, pursing her lips.
But for some reason, when she was alone with Brady, a strange feeling began to surge in her heart.
Violet didn't like it. She forced herself to only look at the scenery outside the car window and not think about anything else.
