Chapter 867 Darian was Really Eager to Bring Violet Home
Brady hung up the phone, and Darian handed it back to Violet. His previously calm eyes now had a predatory gleam. "Violet, if he wants a divorce, just give it to him. You don't need to waste your life on a jerk like that."
"He might be angry," Violet said, clutching the phone and looking down, her voice filled with distress.
"Don't be silly. He's not angry; he's just done with you," Darian said, gently placing a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Listen to me, just divorce him and leave JK. I'll take you to Elysium Springs."
"Mr. Voss, my head is a mess right now. I need some time alone," Violet said, trying to buy herself some time and avoid raising his suspicions.
"Alright, I get it. You're upset. It's okay, I'll stay with you," Darian said, patting her shoulder again.
This time, Violet didn't refuse, playing along with the act.
"JK's upcoming competition is in your hands now," Violet said after a brief silence, wiping the corners of her eyes to keep up the act. "I'll go pack my things."
Darian's eyes darkened with anticipation. "Violet, let me help you pack."
Violet shook her head. "No need to trouble yourself."
"You can't do it alone. Let me help," Darian insisted.
Violet pretended to hesitate, biting her lip before finally nodding after a few seconds.
Seeing her agree, Darian's lips curled into a smile.
Violet found his smile ironic; he had ruined her competition and tarnished her reputation just to make her divorce.
If she ended up with him, what would he do if she didn't meet his expectations? Destroy her again?
He had become terrifying.
Suppressing her intense disgust and anger, Violet continued to act, going home with him to pack her things.
She hastily threw some items into a bag and walked out with it.
Darian, waiting outside, quickly approached to help her with the bag. "Where do you plan to stay?"
"A hotel," Violet said, still feigning distress.
"Stay at my place. I have plenty of rooms," Darian said gently. "I can take care of you."
"No, we haven't officially divorced yet. It would be inappropriate, and he might think I'm betraying him," Violet shook her head, refusing.
Darian wasn't about to give up this perfect opportunity to get close to her. "Violet, just think of us as friends. No one will say anything if you stay at a friend's place."
"Besides, he's already asking for a divorce. Why do you care what he thinks?"
"Violet, listen to me. We can also discuss how to help you get custody of Nicole."
Violet's eyebrows furrowed slightly.
How did he know about Nicole?
But she couldn't ask too many questions. She continued to act silent, then said after a while, "Alright."
"Let's go then," Darian said, his eyes lighting up with excitement. He eagerly opened the car door for her.
Violet didn't say much and got into the car.
Once inside, as he drove to his apartment, she quickly sent a message to Brady.
Brady received her message, his eyes darkening for a few seconds, his lips tightening into a cold line.
Darian was really in a hurry to take Violet home, wasn't he?
Brady's eyes narrowed as he pressed the intercom button to his office, instructing Eddy to take some men to Darian's place to catch them in adultery and to find Jade.
