Chapter 740 She Couldn't See His Face, So She Couldn't Know Him
Deconstructionist Academy History Department, around 2 PM.
The lecture hall was packed with female students from all over Deconstructionist Academy, eager to attend the class of the handsome history professor.
Emily and Violet had borrowed student IDs to sneak in and join the crowd, hoping to catch Lucien's lecture.
There were a few minutes before class started.
Violet glanced at the throng of female students eagerly waiting to see Lucien and couldn't help but laugh. "Emily, you have way too many rivals. Look around, they're all your competition."
Emily shrugged nonchalantly. "Those students are no match for me."
Her real concern was if Lucien's family had arranged for some girl to meet him.
"Do you sneak in like this every day? Why don't you just ask your dad to set up a date with him?" Violet admired her determination.
With all the resources at her disposal, why sneak into a class?
This wouldn't even get Lucien's attention.
Emily hadn't thought of that.
Violet's suggestion made her eyes light up.
She grabbed Violet's arm excitedly. "Violet, you're right! I can ask my dad to arrange a date with him. That way, I won't have to come here every day just to admire him without even touching him."
"So, we don't need to stay for the lecture?" Violet wasn't keen on attending a history class.
It would just make her sleepy.
"One last time? Tomorrow I'll ask my dad to set up the date." Emily said, tugging Violet's arm in excitement.
Violet couldn't refuse and nodded. "Fine, let's consider it prenatal education for my baby."
"Yes, free of charge." Emily had just finished speaking when Lucien walked in with his lecture notes.
He was indeed quite handsome.
With sharp features, gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, thin lips, and a tall, elegant frame, he exuded a refined and scholarly aura.
No wonder Emily liked him.
If Violet hadn't met Brady, she might have been attracted to this man, too.
But now, with Brady in her life, no man could compare.
"Isn't he handsome? And he has such a unique charm," Emily whispered excitedly to Violet.
Violet winked at her. "Yes, you have good taste."
"I want to date him," Emily said, gazing longingly at the handsome man starting his lecture, her eyes filled with affection.
Violet, after the initial impression, didn't feel much.
She gently stroked her rounded belly and settled in to listen to Lucien's lecture.
The class lasted 45 minutes.
Near the end, Violet almost fell asleep, while Emily was unusually alert, her eyes sparkling, practically glued to Lucien.
Violet was about to tease her when the classroom door suddenly opened.
A young man wearing a baseball cap leaned against the doorway, looking at Lucien.
The man had his cap pulled low, revealing only part of his face.
But his face shape suggested he was handsome too.
Who was this guy?
As the students whispered among themselves, Lucien announced that class was over and he had a friend visiting.
Reluctantly, the students began to leave, but as long as Lucien continued teaching at Deconstructionist Academy, they would have the chance to attend his classes.
Soon, the large lecture hall was nearly empty.
Emily planned to seize the moment and ask Lucien for his number.
Violet, however, was curious about the young man standing next to Lucien.
He seemed familiar.
"Emily, don't you think the guy in the baseball cap looks familiar?" Violet whispered, pulling Emily back as she was about to approach Lucien.
Emily, focused on Lucien, hadn't noticed the man.
At Violet's prompting, she turned her attention to him.
She studied him closely and also felt he looked familiar.
But with the cap obscuring his face, she couldn't tell who he was.
