Chapter 681 She Had to Hurt Evelyn
Another private hospital.
When Brady returned to Violet's ward, she was already up and moving around.
Seeing her out of bed, Brady rushed over and scooped her up, a bit annoyed. "What are you doing out of bed?"
"Relax, the doctor said I could walk around a bit," Violet replied with a smile, noticing his worried expression.
"You scared me," he said, fearing any mishap.
Violet wrapped her arms around his neck, snuggling into his embrace. "I'm almost fully recovered. You don't need to worry about me." Her abdomen no longer hurt, and she felt fine walking around earlier.
"Better safe than sorry," Brady said, not wanting her to fall again.
After gently placing her back on the bed, he said, "The person who kidnapped Juniper is Eileen."
"Really? What does she want?" Violet was a bit surprised, though she had been guessing who might have kidnapped Juniper.
Since she had just arrived in Crestoria, she shouldn't have made any enemies here.
Abroad, it could be competitors of the Lawson family, or Eileen.
She had considered these two possibilities.
Turns out she guessed right.
"What else? She wants to force James to help get Lilian out." Brady gently stroked Violet's face. "Don't worry about them, I'll handle this."
"Getting Lilian out isn't that easy. Does she think this is a drama?" Violet scoffed.
"If she can't get her out, she might go to extremes," Brady feared she might take that step.
Although the Lawson family had nothing to do with him, it was connected to Violet.
If something happened, it would affect her too.
"Alright, you need to help Ethan." Violet reached out and held Brady's hand, looking at him pleadingly.
Brady smiled, lifted her chin, and kissed her. "Don't worry, I promise I'll do it."
Violet nodded and gave him a sweet kiss. "Thank you, darling."
Brady wasn't satisfied with just one kiss, pointing to his lips. "How about a few more?"
Violet's face turned red with embarrassment, but she obediently continued kissing him, wrapping her arms around him.
On the highway, two Mercedes sped along.
Helen sat in the car, anxiously waiting to get to Crestoria Hospital. The scenery outside was beautiful, the sun warm, but Helen had no interest in it.
Juniper had gone missing in Crestoria, and James was hospitalized.
Both incidents happened in Crestoria.
Was this God's delayed punishment for her past sins?
Especially with Evelyn here. James must have come back to see her, right?
Had they already met?
Would Evelyn tell him about the grievances she suffered? Would she expose Helen?
Helen didn't dare think about it, fearing Evelyn had already told James everything, and that was why he fell ill and was hospitalized.
So, in the end, she was the biggest sinner.
If she hadn't gone back to Evelyn then, Evelyn and James would have married in Eldoria, and she wouldn't have taken her place.
But she had no choice at the time.
She was pregnant, though James didn't know and wasn't aware.
But she didn't want to abort the baby; she wanted to give him a family.
She had to hurt Evelyn.
