Brady's sleek, black Bentley, a symbol of luxury, gradually made its way into the Devereux's mansion's driveway. Emily, who had been anxiously waiting, spotted the vehicle and instantly dashed over from her own Maserati, calling out, "Mr. Hall!"As Brady emerged from his car, he turned to see Emily sprinting towards him. Her eyes were tinged with red, and her voice trembled with emotion as she hastily explained, "I accompanied Violet back to the Devereux family. Violet was supposed to have a meeting regarding her mother's inheritance. Violet said she didn't dare to go alone, so she asked me to come along. But when we arrived, she insisted I wait in the car. She hasn't emerged since, and despite my efforts to involve the police, they've been unable to locate her."Emily's heart was heavy with the burden of Violet's disappearance. She chastised herself for not insisting on accompanying Violet inside."I see," Brady responded, understanding that Violet's return was tied to her mother's affairs.Truthfully, Brady knew little about Violet. He was aware that she had been ostracized from the Devereux family due to her indiscretion with him, but he hadn't taken the initiative to discover her whereabouts afterward."Are you sure she hasn't exited the mansion?" Brady inquired, his gaze shifting towards the imposing Devereux residence.Emily, having regained control over her tears, nodded. "Yes, I'm sure. I've been here the whole time, and I haven't seen anyone come out."
"Did you ask the police to check the surveillance footage?" Brady probed further."I did, but the Devereux family claimed the surveillance system was malfunctioning, so the police didn't retrieve it," Emily replied.
Brady's expression hardened. He thought, 'Why would the Devereux family do that? Are they attempting to cover up something related to Violet's late mother's inheritance?'Despite the Devereux family's current financial stability, it seemed unlikely they would resort to criminal activities.After a moment of contemplation, Brady said, "Let's go inside and investigate."Emily agreed, though she was hesitant about involving Brady. If he became entangled in this, Violet would be indebted to him once more.

Inform Anna," Emily retorted, fixing the maid with a stern gaze and introducing Brady without any formalities.The maid, taken aback, promptly headed to the dining room to relay the message.Brady seated himself on the sofa, and Emily quietly took a spot beside him, awaiting the arrival of the Devereux family members.In less than a minute, Anna, Gerry, Eileen, and Lilian all made their way over.The sight of someone as distinguished as Brady visiting the Devereux family in person was almost unbelievable.Anna was ecstatic, while Lilian blushed, her heart pounding with anticipation.Lilian wondered if Brady was interested in her. She wanted to know if Brady was here for her.The more she pondered, the redder her cheeks became.Eileen, however, remained composed. Anna inquired, barely concealing her excitement as she warmly invited Brady to sit on the sofa opposite her. She then swiftly turned to the maid and ordered, "Quickly, prepare coffee for Mr. Hall.""Mrs. Devereux, there's no need for coffee," Brady interjected, not intending to engage in pleasantries. "I'm here to inquire about Violet."
