The elevator doors closed.
Brady's assistants decided to take the next elevator, avoiding any awkwardness.
Brady pressed the button for the top floor, where his office was.
Violet reached out to press the button for her floor.
Just as she did, Brady grabbed her hand and pulled her close, his voice warm and gentle, "What happened earlier? I've never seen you throw water at someone in the office before."
"Do you think I'm a shrew?" Violet looked up at him, her eyes glistening.
Brady shook his head, half-jokingly saying, "No way, if you were a shrew, I wouldn't stand a chance."
"I'll tell you in a bit." Violet wrapped her arms around Brady's strong waist.
Brady stroked her hair, "Alright."
Two minutes later, the elevator reached the top floor.
Brady led her into his office, closed the door, and immediately embraced her. "Okay, spill it. What happened?"
"Just dealing with a troublesome woman for you." Violet buried her head in his broad chest.
Brady had a faint, pleasant scent mixed with his strong masculine presence, which calmed Violet.
"A troublesome woman?" Brady raised an eyebrow, wondering if she meant Aria had feelings for him.
"Yeah, that's why I was upset." Violet suddenly continued, "Honey, you won't change your heart, will you?"
"Of course not," Brady had no intention of changing his heart.
He felt happy building a family with Violet.
Violet nodded, her hand moving to his abdomen, "I got so angry earlier, you didn't get to eat properly. Are you hungry?"
"If I get hungry, I'll have Eddy order something." Brady held her tighter.
"Okay."
They held each other for a while, and Violet's mood gradually calmed down.
She was ready to head back to JK.
"Honey, I'll head back to JK now. I'll wait for you after work, and we can go home together, okay?"
Brady didn't want to let go. He realized he had been clinging to Violet more lately.
"Why go back so early? Don't you guys start work again after 1 PM?" Brady said as he lifted her and carried her to the couch in his office, kissing her passionately.
Their bad mood, caused by Aria's interruption, vanished instantly.
Violet responded to Brady's kisses with equal fervor.
From their lips to their tongues, their kisses were wet, filled with desire and sweetness.
No matter what the future held, as long as they loved each other in this moment, she would love him with all her heart.
Meanwhile, at the Hart family company.
Austin had completely fallen out with Roy over Emily dropping her class. Roy told him to resign, and Austin complied without a fuss, submitting his resignation and packing up to leave the university.
Sitting in his car outside the university, he glanced at the thick clouds in the sky.
He picked up his phone and called Douglas.
Douglas answered, still polite, "Mr. Roberts, what can I do for you?"
Austin made his voice sound weak, "Mr. Hart, I'm sorry to bother you, but I don't know who else to turn to."
Douglas, not knowing what was wrong, instinctively asked, "What's the matter, Mr. Roberts?"
"Mr. Hart, because of Emily and Lucien's affair, I've been expelled from the university." Austin's voice choked up, playing the victim.
Douglas listened, frowning slightly, "Is that true?"
Austin wasn't worried about Douglas investigating. He was sure Douglas wouldn't bother over such a trivial matter. Emily had indeed spent a night with Lucien, so he was confident Douglas wouldn't check.
"Mr. Hart, you can investigate if you want."
Douglas was silent for a moment, "No need. What are your plans, Mr. Roberts?"
Austin continued his act, "Mr. Hart, can I join the Hart Group? I'll leave once I find another suitable school. I'm afraid my parents will be furious if they find out I was expelled."
Douglas hesitated. If Austin joined the Hart family company, he would inevitably run into his daughter again.
After a moment, Douglas said, "Mr. Roberts, I'll think about it."
"Okay, I'll wait for your response, Mr. Hart." Austin's eyes gleamed as he hung up.
Once he joined the Hart Group, he would have no trouble reaching Emily.
He had already been expelled because of Emily, so he had no choice but to take this gamble.
