Chapter 520 Did She Really Misunderstand Brady?
Max sat on the bench in the hallway, completely at a loss.
He had never imagined Violet's boyfriend would be Brady. And wasn't Brady about to get engaged recently?
Max could only sit on the bench until Brady's 'fiancée' Calliope came over.
He then stopped Calliope, saying, "Ms. Green, excuse me, I want to ask, is Mr. Hall really dating Violet? Then how are you two getting engaged?"
"Mr. Green, these matters are Mr. Hall's private affairs, and it's not appropriate for you to ask too much." Calliope knew Max wasn't a bad person. "Mr. Green, I have something to discuss with Ms. Devereux now, excuse me."
"Got it, go ahead." Max couldn't get any answers, and he shouldn't ask more.
When Calliope entered the ward, he looked at the breakfast and instantly felt a bit ironic.
He had protected Violet for so long, only to find out that Brady and she were already together.
Max knew he couldn't compare to Brady.
So he directly threw the breakfast into the trash can and returned to the company with extreme disappointment.
Inside the ward, when Calliope came in, Brady and Violet were wrestling, which was more like Brady was forcibly hugging her while Violet was desperately hitting him.
The scene was so ambiguous that Calliope, coughed a few times to ease the awkwardness.
"Brady, Ms. Devereux."
"Calliope, come over here," Brady said.
Calliope turned her face back, walked towards them, and said, "Brady."
"You and Ms. Devereux have a good chat." Brady wanted to give the two women some space. "I'll go prepare breakfast for her."
"I understand." Calliope nodded.
Violet bit her lip. "Mr. Hall, I don't need it."
"Of course you need it." Brady, reached out to touch her hair, and then left.
Calliope looked at Violet and gently said, "Ms. Devereux, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding between Brady and me because of that person."
Violet looked at her. "Don't you think he's bullying you?"
Calliope shook her head, saying, "Ms. Devereux, don't misunderstand. Brady and I are really just like siblings. He later got engaged to me because that mysterious person might have found us. Really, Ms. Devereux, we did all this for you and your child."
She didn't seem to be lying, making Violet a bit shaken.
Violet frowned slightly, and said, "Then why didn't he reply to my messages?"
"To be more ruthless, Brady was afraid that person wouldn't buy it, so we decided not to tell you until we caught that mysterious person," Calliope slowly explained, "By the way, that person was caught last night, so you can rest assured."
He was caught? Violet felt a bit flustered. If what Calliope said was true, then she really misunderstood Brady?
