Chapter 50 Will he kill her when he finds out she secretly had his child?
"Hellen, I'll be back a bit late today," Violet was about to call her and inform her about going home.
She still had to go to Emily's place later.
"Working overtime?" Hellen asked.
Violet replied, "No, do you remember my best friend; Emily? She's returning to her home country today, so I'll visit her after finishing work."
At first, Hellen couldn't figure out who Emily was.
After a few seconds of silence, she recalled that Emily was the girl who had a close relationship with Violet.
"So, it's her. She really came back to her home country?"
"Well, she’s back, so I have to go see her. Would it be a bother to you for a while longer to take care of the two little ones tonight?"
Just mentioning the two little ones made Violet feel guilty. Since starting work, she had been caught up in various things, unable to properly spend time with her babies.
Whenever Violet thought about this, she felt overwhelmed with guilt.
"It's no trouble at all. The two little ones have been mentioning you non-stop," Hellen said as she placed the phone next to Henry's ear, teaching him to say, "Mommy."
Henry knew that his mother was on the other end of the call and immediately started excitedly calling out for Violet in a baby voice, "Mommy, mommy..."
"Henry, be good. mommy is here," Violet's eyes welled up with tears upon hearing Henry's sweet voice. She really wanted to go home and hug her babies.
"Mommy..."
Nicole, who was beside Henry, couldn't be left behind and wanted to talk to Violet as well. Unfortunately, the two little ones could only say "mommy" and nothing else.
But it was enough. Violet sniffled, her voice choked, "Nicole, my baby, be good... Mommy loves you. Hellen, I'll take them to the ocean park this weekend. To avoid the Devereux family, I rarely take them out to play. The two little ones have grown so much and they haven't really been out to play yet"
"Really?"
Hellen had no objections, but she also expressed her concern, "If we go out, what if we run into someone from the Devereux family?"
That wasn't entirely impossible. Last time, that old lady from the Devereux family even came here to threaten Violet!
"We'll just disguise ourselves,"
Violet made up her mind. This time, she must broaden the horizons of her two little ones. Keeping them shut in all the time would make them withdrawn.
"Alright then."
Hellen thought for a moment and felt that a simple disguise wouldn't be a problem.
"Hellen, I'll hang up now. I'll go to Emily's place first and then come back to breastfeed."
"Okay."
Violet was about to hang up the phone, but Henry refused to let go. He clung to Hellen and insisted on talking to Violet again, even though he couldn't speak and could only call out for "mommy".
So, he snatched Hellen's phone and kept shouting into it, "Mommy, mommy, mommy."
Hearing this, Violet's heart ached. "Henry, mommy will be back soon."
Violet could only wipe her eyes and comfort her baby, "Can you be a good boy for mommy? Henry..."
Before Violet could finish her sentence, Brady suddenly appeared behind her, catching her off guard and calling out, "Miss Devereux?"
As soon as Brady called out, Violet turned around as if her soul had been startled, her phone slipping from her hand at the sight of this man.
This man stood right there, instinctively startled, Violet’s phone dropped to the ground with a 'clatter'.
It was really Brady.
How did this man appear in front of her again?
How much did he hear from her phone call just now?
Violet was terrified.
If he found out that she secretly had his children, would he kill her?
And take Henry and Nicole away too?
Violet couldn't think about these things, as it felt like someone was digging into her heart.
Causing her pain.
She couldn't let him know about her children.
In an instant, Violet regained her composure and quickly picked up the phone that had fallen on the ground.
Then she ended the call.
To prevent him from hearing anything else, but luckily Brady didn't hear anything at all. He was curious about why he happened to meet her here.
