Chapter 936 Bring Someone Back for Sacrifice

Deep within the dense southwestern rainforest, Brady and his team were making their way to Miles' main base.

After a grueling two-hour trek, they finally arrived near the base.

Brady and Arthur found a concealed spot, using thick foliage to hide themselves.

They took turns observing the situation through binoculars, waiting for the right moment to act.

Miles' base was built high up.

Surrounded by ten-foot-tall iron walls topped with electric fencing, it was nearly impossible for an ordinary person to climb over.

Even if someone managed to scale the wall, they'd be electrocuted by the high voltage.

So climbing the wall was out of the question.

They needed to get their hands on one of the base's access wristbands.

"Looks like they haven't moved their base," Arthur whispered to Brady after a while.

Brady nodded, continuing to scan the area with his binoculars.

There were three guards at the base entrance, each armed with an AK-47.

Anyone entering or leaving the base needed an electronic wristband.

Brady watched for a while but saw very few people coming out, which made him anxious.

The longer they delayed, the worse it would be for Violet and Julie.

Just as he was about to take on the three guards, a few people finally emerged from the base.

They looked like they were heading out on an errand.

After leaving the base, they got into a Jeep and started driving down the mountain road towards the town.

Brady's eyes turned cold as he saw this.

The opportunity had finally come.

He quickly put away the binoculars and whispered to his team, "Stop that Jeep."

The two men with him nodded.

They grabbed a wire mesh designed to stop vehicles and hurried to set up a trap at the road ahead.

Once the trap was set, they waited for the Jeep to take the bait.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes passed.

The previously quiet forest was suddenly filled with the sound of a crash.

The Jeep had hit the wire mesh and crashed into a nearby tree.

The four members of the organization in the Jeep immediately got out to check the situation.

As they did, Brady and his team each took down one of them.

They covered their mouths with chloroform-soaked cloths, knocking them out.

Once the four were unconscious, Brady had them tied up and hidden in a cave far from the base, just to be safe.

After dealing with them, Brady took a wristband from one of the men, changed into their clothes, and armed himself. He then led Arthur and the other two back to the base.

At the base entrance, the guards didn't question them much since they had the wristbands.

They just gave a glance and let them through.

Once inside, Brady stepped on the gas and drove into the base.

Relying on his memory of the layout, he parked in their designated parking area.

As they got out of the car, two members of the organization walked past them, chatting in the local language.

They didn't pay much attention to Brady and his team, as the organization was large and it was impossible to remember everyone's face.

As long as they had the wristbands, they were good.

One of them said, "Didn't Mr. Gibson say he was bringing people back for the sacrifice today? I haven't seen them."

"Is it your place to comment on Mr. Gibson's plans?"

"I just want to see the sacrifice."

"You should be able to see it today."

They continued their conversation as they walked past Brady.

Brady stood there, eyes narrowed, deep in thought.

Arthur, not understanding the language, asked, "Brady, what were they saying?"

"Miles isn't back yet. We'll set up an ambush here," Brady said, his eyes still focused.

Arthur nodded.

Brady glanced deeper into the base and said, "Let's go inside and wait."

With that, he started walking forward.

Arthur and the others followed.

Meanwhile, on the other side, after Violet had passed out, Miles took her and the captured Julie, boarded a speedboat, and headed swiftly towards the island where the base was located.
