Chapter 931 He Saw Violet Calling Out to Him
After a night of searching at sea, Brady and Arthur finally found the organization's base, where Miles, whom Brady had previously visited with Lance, was located.
The base was on another island, but this one was close to a local city, with a small town and residents, making it seem lively rather than desolate.
However, this liveliness was just a facade.
The local government was too scared to take control of the island, so the organization ran it instead.
Brady and Arthur dragged the barely conscious man ashore and hid him in the home of a resident Brady knew to avoid detection.
This resident had once left Brady's hired organization and settled here, making it convenient for their contact.
After stashing the man in the resident's basement, Brady and Arthur began discussing how to infiltrate the organization.
"Mr. Hall, since Reuben was killed, it's gonna be tough to get into their organization now," the resident said, frowning.
"Tough, but not impossible, right?" Brady replied, his voice steady.
The resident nodded, still looking troubled. "Possible, yes, but very difficult."
"Since Reuben was killed, the base has upgraded all kinds of security measures. Ordinary people aren't allowed in; only organization members with electronic ID wristbands can enter."
"No problem. As long as we can get in, we'll figure it out," Brady said quietly.
He hadn't slept all night, his handsome face showing signs of fatigue, and his eyes were bloodshot.
Arthur, worried that Brady might not hold up, said, "Brady, why don't you rest for an hour? Once we've got a plan, we'll go in together."
"I'm fine," Brady insisted. He couldn't sleep at all.
Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Violet calling out to him. How could he sleep?
"If you keep pushing yourself like this, what if we get in and find them? Do you think you'll have the stamina to hold up?" Arthur continued to persuade him. "For Violet and to save Julie, please rest for a while, okay?"
"Mr. Hall, Mr. Stanley makes a good point. Why don't you rest first? That way, you'll be in better shape to rescue Mrs. Hall and Julie," Eddy chimed in.
Last night, he and Arthur had slept for a few hours.
Only Brady had stayed awake the whole time.
Eddy was genuinely worried that Brady wouldn't hold up much longer.
Brady was silent for a few seconds, then said, "Alright, I'll sleep for an hour. You guys figure out a plan."
"Okay," Arthur nodded.
Brady then went upstairs to rest and recharge.
Arthur and the resident continued discussing how to safely infiltrate Miles' base.
They discussed for over an hour.
Brady's nap had done him good, and his previously tired face had mostly recovered.
Coming downstairs, Arthur saw him and stood up from the couch, saying, "We discussed it. To get in, we'll have to ambush two of their members and take their wristbands."
"Alright," Brady nodded, not wanting to waste any time. "Let's go now."
Arthur grabbed his arm and said, "Brady, don't worry too much. They'll be okay."
"I know," Brady said in a hoarse voice. After a pause, he looked at Arthur and said, "Arthur, thank you."
"No problem," Arthur replied.
They were good friends, after all. This was nothing.
