Chapter 815 How About We Talk About Darian
The assistant cleared his throat and said nervously, "Mr. Hall from the Hall Group invited you to the boxing gym. Are you going?"
Honestly, when he first got the call, he was pretty shocked. Most people usually meet at a coffee shop or a restaurant, right?
Who invited someone to a boxing gym?
Was this a challenge?
The assistant was worried about Darian's slight build.
After all, he had seen Brady before. The guy was tall and muscular.
He was concerned that Darian, with his scholarly and refined appearance, wouldn't stand a chance against Brady!
"Of course I'm going. How could I refuse an invitation from Mr. Hall?" Darian's eyes glinted as he spoke, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Brady was something, inviting him to a boxing gym?
Well, he'd meet Brady head-on.
Darian wasn't a coward.
"You're going?" The assistant was surprised and wanted to persuade him to reconsider.
After all, the difference in strength was significant!
"Stop nagging and go tell them I'll be there," Darian said impatiently.
If he agreed to go, he must have a plan.
What was there to worry about?
Seeing that Darian was determined, the assistant had no choice but to go and respond.
After the assistant left, Lucien put down his coffee cup, his eyes darkening as he looked at Darian. "Are you crazy? Mr. Hall's invitation is a setup, and you're still going?"
"What else can I do? Let them think I'm a coward?" Darian smiled calmly, showing no concern.
Lucien, seeing how stubborn Darian was, felt a headache coming on. He rubbed his temples and said, "Darian, don't play with fire. The Hall Group is not someone you can mess with."
Even the Moreau family couldn't afford to offend them.
Let alone Darian.
"Lucien, I appreciate your concern, but some things, if I don't do them, will become a lifelong regret." He didn't want to live with that kind of regret.
It was too painful.
"You're just too stubborn," Lucien sighed.
"People need to have some convictions, right?" Darian said calmly.
If a person has no convictions, what's the difference between them and a walking corpse?
They might as well be a pile of rotting flesh!
Lucien fell silent. He knew that no matter what he said, Darian wouldn't listen.
All he could do was help him avoid getting hurt by the Hall Group.
That evening, Violet was soothing their baby to sleep when Brady came home from work, bringing with him a hint of the cool night air.
As he entered the bedroom, he saw his beloved wife lying there under the soft yellow glow of the bedside lamp, gently rocking their baby to sleep.
The scene was warm and tender.
It instantly melted away Brady's fatigue, filling his eyes with warmth and affection. Indeed, the feeling of home was wonderful.
Brady quietly watched Violet soothe the baby.
Once the baby was asleep, he walked over softly, sat on the edge of the bed, and wrapped his arms around Violet from behind. He leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips, saying, "Thank you for your hard work."
"It's not hard," Violet replied, enjoying his tender kiss and responding to him, which only ignited his passion.
Brady couldn't help but hold her tighter, his tongue sweeping over the sweetness inside her lips.
He pulled her fully into a deep, passionate kiss.
After the kiss, Brady suddenly released her, looking into her starry eyes, and said softly, "Honey, let's talk about Darian."
Mentioning Darian instantly dispelled the earlier intimacy.
Violet's eyes widened slightly as she looked at Brady, unsure why he suddenly brought up Darian. "Honey, why are you bringing him up all of a sudden?"
