"Are you sure it was her last night?" Leana's brow furrowed in consternation as she studied the photograph, the woman in the frame bearing an uncanny resemblance to Violet.Her confidante, Loraine, had hinted at Arthur's involvement with Violet. A troubling thought crossed Leana's mind, 'Could Brady really pursue the woman of his own friend?'
The idea seemed implausible to her, yet the likeness was undeniable. She couldn't confront Arthur directly. The thought of him being protective over Violet could only spell trouble. 'Perhaps it's merely a look-alike. But who could that be?'
With a sigh, Leana set the photograph aside, resolving to have someone look into it. If Brady was indeed entangled in this, she would fight for him. After all, she believed Brady was hers and hers alone.As dusk settled, Violet completed her packing. She dialed Hellen's number, informing her about the impending Devereux family gathering.
Hellen, ever the worrier, insisted on accompanying Violet. However, Violet suggested Emily as her companion instead. She decided to bear with it for the time being, but once she resigned, she would return everything, including the expensive gifts Brady had given her."Linda, I must be on my way," Violet announced, eager to make her exit. Linda nodded respectfully, "Goodbye, Violet."With that, Violet turned and left to find Emily.
Meanwhile, Lilian, who had just descended the staircase, witnessed Linda handing Violet a luxurious bag. Her eyes blazed with envy.
