Chapter 556 Removing Him Is Equivalent to Crippling His Right Hand
Soon, the plane bound for Radiantia began to leave the runway, accelerating into the evening sky.
It takes several hours to arrive in Radiantia.
By the time they arrive, it will probably be late at night.
Calliope told Violet to get some sleep first so she would have the energy to find Brady.
Violet had no objections; after all, there was no way to contact Brady now.
So, despite her worries, she forced herself to rest.
As the plane took off, Brady and Arthur, already in Radiantia, went to a high-end apartment to meet Jason Foster, their former captain from the Shadow Syndicate, now in his forties.
Jason had received favors from Ulysses a long time ago, so when Brady came to train at 21, he took good care of him.
After so many years, Brady came to find him again.
Remembering Ulysses' kindness, Jason naturally wouldn't neglect him.
He warmly welcomed him.
Brady didn't want to waste time. He got straight to the point. "Jason, I assume you have some idea why I'm here this time?"
Jason responded, "I've heard a bit. You got Emerson into prison?"
Brady nodded. "If I hadn't put him away, you wouldn't see me here today."
Jason smiled helplessly. "Alright, what can I do for you?"
"I need to see Beckett," Brady said bluntly.
If he didn't see him, he would have to be cautious for the rest of his life.
"He rarely comes out these past two years. It will be hard to meet him, especially since you put Emerson in prison. He will definitely arrange for someone to kill you," Jason said slowly.
Emerson was Beckett's right-hand man.
Taking him out was like crippling one of his arms.
"That's why I need to see him. I don't want any future troubles." Brady knew the dangers involved, but if he didn't resolve this, he could never protect his wife and child properly.
Jason fell silent. It wasn't that he didn't want to help; he just needed a detailed plan to ensure everyone's safety.
Seeing Jason's hesitation, Arthur said, "Jason, we just need you to introduce us. We'll handle the rest ourselves."
"We won't drag you into this," Brady added.
Jason shook his head. "You misunderstand. It's not that I don't want to help, and I'm not afraid of getting involved. I owe Ulysses a debt of gratitude. Even if it's dangerous, I'll help you. I'm just considering how to ensure your safety. Since you're on my turf, I have to protect you."
Jason was never one to fear death, especially as a member of the Shadow Syndicate.
"Thank you," Arthur said.
"Alright, I'll contact Beckett for you. If he's willing to meet, I'll let you know," Jason said, "Where are you staying now?"
"A hotel in Golden Isle City," Brady said.
"Do you want to stay here? It might be safer," Jason asked.
Brady declined politely; he didn't want to involve him. "I brought people with me, so don't worry about the danger."
"I'll arrange some more people for you," Jason said, seeing Brady's reluctance. He didn't insist.
"Thank you," Brady responded.
"No need to be polite," Jason smiled slightly and continued, "By the way, are you meeting him empty-handed?"
"Of course not. How can I show sincerity without bringing something?" Brady was well-prepared.
He brought a $200 million contract to meet Beckett.
He knew Beckett had always wanted to invest in some businesses in Crestoria. Because of his gang background, it didn't matter in Radiantia, as the government wouldn't care, but Crestoria was different. Crestoria had strict regulations. Business investments required background checks.
So, he had this bargaining chip. As long as Beckett was willing to cooperate, it would be a win-win for everyone.
Of course, if he refused, there would be no choice but to use force.
