Chapter 585 If Nicole Is in Any Danger, You'll Pay with Your Life
Nicole had no interest in toys. She was still haunted by what happened yesterday. So, as soon as Violet and Hellen left, she clung tightly to Henry's clothes, afraid that Ava would come back and hurt her again.
Henry was playing with his Legos, and the two of them stayed in the living room for a few minutes when the sound of high heels echoed from outside.
The footsteps sounded very much like Ava's shoes, and Nicole instantly tensed up.
Henry felt her shaking and thought she was feeling unwell again.
He immediately turned around and hugged her, saying, "Nicole."
Nicole threw herself into his arms.
The sound of high heels grew closer and closer. Ava really had come back. As soon as she entered the living room, the maid saw her and immediately went to take her bag, saying, "Madam, you're back?"
Ava glanced around the living room and didn't see Matilda. Her eyes turned cold as she said, "Is Matilda not home?"
The maid nodded. "Matilda went to visit a friend and will be back later."
Ava's lips curled slightly, and her gaze shifted to Henry and Nicole. The coldness and disgust in her eyes intensified.
If Henry was somewhat tolerable because he resembled Brady as a child, and she couldn't bring herself to mistreat him, Nicole was different. She looked too much like Violet.
Ava took one look and found her extremely annoying.
She then walked over to them, grabbing Nicole to make her stand outside.
As she pulled her, Ava's voice was icy. "Get out of my sight!"
Meanwhile, Henry rushed over to save Nicole.
The sudden mental shock caused Nicole to break down and cry hysterically. She cried so hard that she blacked out.
Henry saw it and immediately started calling for Violet, "Mom!"
Ava stood by, watching coldly. The maid wanted to help Nicole up, but Ava immediately scolded, "Get out of here. This is none of your business."
The maid, afraid of her, didn't dare move.
Ava took one more look and then walked upstairs to remove her makeup.
The living room was left with two children, one unconscious and the other squatting beside Nicole, crying.
Hearing the commotion from the kitchen, Violet and Hellen came out and were shocked to see Nicole almost rolling her eyes. They quickly had the driver take her to the hospital. On the way, they urgently called Brady, telling him to go to the hospital.
"Henry, what happened to Nicole?" Violet anxiously held Nicole, trying to wake her up, but it was no use.
This time, in his anger, Henry finally managed to speak, "It was Grandma!"
Ava?
"Are you saying Grandma bullied Nicole?" Violet asked through gritted teeth.
Henry nodded.
At this, Violet couldn't hold back any longer. Anger flared in her eyes.
Fifteen minutes later, the car sped to the hospital.
Nicole was taken to the emergency room for treatment. Violet and Hellen waited outside. While waiting, Violet said to Hellen, "Hellen, I need to step out for a moment. Call me as soon as Nicole comes out."
"Where are you going?" Hellen asked anxiously.
"I'll be back soon," Violet said and quickly walked out.
She then returned to the villa.
At the villa, Ava had just finished her bath and removed her makeup. As she walked downstairs, Violet saw her and walked straight over, standing right in front of her.
Ava saw her angry face and didn't care at all. She sneered, "What? Do you have something to say?"
Before she could finish, Violet slapped her hard, gritting her teeth. "If anything happens to Nicole, you'll pay with your life!"
