Chapter 825 Now She Will Not Allow Anyone Other Than Brady
The two of them continued to sit at the dining table, waiting for Darian to arrive.
After a while, Violet gently placed her hand on Brady's, her eyes serious as she said, "Babe, I promise I'll work hard to take JK to the next level. I won't let you down for trusting me with it."
Brady looked at her. He hadn't given her JK expecting her to make it a huge success. It was just a gift.
The Hall Group had a ton of businesses, and even if JK didn't make it, it wouldn't matter much to him. He gave it to her simply because she loved the industry.
"I don't expect you to make it great. I just want you to do what you love without any stress."
"But I still won't let you down," Violet said, smiling at Brady.
Brady found his sweetheart adorably earnest. He reached out and gently ruffled her hair, saying indulgently, "Just love me forever."
"Okay," Violet nodded obediently, her eyes filled with admiration for him.
To be honest, right now, there was no room in her heart for any man other than Brady.
Brady might have seemed domineering and authoritative at first, not knowing how to care for a woman.
But once you got to know him, you'd discover that beneath his cold exterior lay a heart more attentive than a woman's.
He knew how to pamper a woman and help her achieve her dreams without interfering or limiting her ambitions. She enjoyed the respect and love he gave her.
So why wouldn't she want to love such a nearly flawless man for a lifetime?
"Hey, after dinner, do you wanna catch a movie?" Violet was about to suggest going to a movie after dinner when Darian arrived.
He was dressed casually in a white cotton T-shirt and simple navy jeans, looking relaxed and natural.
Brady noticed him approaching and, in a deliberate display of affection, leaned down to kiss Violet.
Anyone smart enough could see what he was doing.
Darian certainly understood. When he saw Brady kiss Violet in front of him, his eyes darkened, his lashes lowered, and a sneer of contempt and jealousy briefly crossed his lips.
But he wouldn't be defeated so easily. He composed himself and walked over to Brady and Violet, smiling slightly. "Mr. Hall, Ms. Devereux, sorry to keep you waiting."
"No problem, Mr. Voss. You're right on time. Please, have a seat," Brady said, his gaze steady and unafraid, extending his hand to Darian.
"Thanks," Darian replied, sitting down without changing his expression.
The silent war between the two men had begun.
Soon after sitting down, Darian noticed the faint kiss mark on Brady's neck and the deep purple mark on Violet's neck. It was a blatant reminder that stung his eyes.
Darian's hand clenched into a fist under the table, his eyes fixed on Violet. He remembered her being so pure back in school, nothing like this.
Inwardly, Darian scoffed. One day, he would have Violet submit to him completely.
