Chapter 1009 I Recently Have a Pollen Allergy, Sorry Ms. Clark, I Threw the Flowers Away
Outside the Hall Mansion, Aria stood quietly, holding a bag of wedding accessories, waiting for someone to open the door.
She hadn't dressed up intentionally today, but her natural beauty made her stand out in any crowd.
She wore a new season's dress from their store, a fiery red gown with rose embroidery along the hem and a cloud-patterned clasp at the neckline.
Her long hair was styled into a high bun with a sleek black hairpin.
She looked incredibly elegant.
Except for the confident gleam in her eyes, which seemed a bit too bold.
Soon, a housemaid came to open the door.
"Ms. Clark, Mrs. Hall is expecting you," the maid said politely, opening the door and inviting Aria inside.
Aria gave the maid a slight smile, picked up the bag of wedding accessories specially prepared for Violet, and walked in gracefully.
At the entrance, Aria noticed the neatly arranged shoes and asked, "Do I need to change my shoes?"
The maid nodded, bending down to retrieve a pair of soft slippers from a nearby cabinet and placing them in front of Aria.
Aria took off her black high heels and slipped into the soft slippers.
She then followed the maid to the living room to meet Violet.
In the living room, Aria immediately spotted Violet lounging on the sofa, flipping through a design magazine.
She carried herself with the air of a hostess.
But she looked too gentle.
Not at all the type to match Brady, a man of such strong presence.
Aria raised her eyebrows in a subtly aggressive manner, then shifted her gaze away from Violet and continued following the maid.
"Mrs. Hall, Ms. Clark is here," the maid reported respectfully.
Violet was prepared and didn't show exaggerated surprise. She simply looked up and said politely, "Ms. Clark, please have a seat."
"Thank you, Mrs. Hall," Aria said, smoothing her dress as she elegantly sat down.
She took a moment to glance around the living room, which was luxurious yet tasteful.
It seemed to suit Brady's style.
But where were the roses?
Aria wondered if Violet had sensed something. Not that it mattered to her. She smiled deliberately and said, "Mrs. Hall, did you receive the flowers I sent?"
"I did," Violet replied calmly, signaling the maid to pour coffee.
"Did you like them?" Aria asked with a gentle smile.
Originally, she didn't know that roses had various meanings.
Among the roses she sent were a few purple ones, which symbolize a love that is restrained, unable to be openly expressed, causing sadness and frustration.
Was she hinting at a secret love?
Was it her beloved?
If so, it was quite cunning.
"I've been having allergies lately. I'm sorry, Ms. Clark, but I had to throw the flowers away," Violet said, touching her nose as if she were really allergic.
"Is that so? I'm sorry, Mrs. Hall, I didn't know you were allergic to pollen," Aria apologized immediately.
The maid brought over two cups of coffee.
"It's alright, Ms. Clark. Ignorance is no crime. Shall we discuss business?" Violet said, taking the coffee from the maid and handing one to Aria.
Aria accepted the coffee cup gracefully and said, "Of course, Mrs. Hall."
"You mentioned my wedding dress needs accessories? What kind of accessories?"
Aria put down her coffee and took out several handmade pink pearl roses from the bag, arranging them neatly on the clean table. "These, because your wedding dress is pure white, I thought some floral accents would enhance it."
Violet looked at the roses, initially wanting to refuse, but suddenly, the sliding door to the living room was pushed open from outside.
Brady walked in, shirtless and muscular, carrying an equally shirtless Henry.
