Chapter 1070 They Have Fought, She Knows Her Skills
Brady was in the middle of a company meeting when Matilda called him urgently.
Brady usually didn't take calls during meetings, but Matilda rarely interrupted him unless it was important.
Could it be something serious?
So, Brady paused the meeting and stepped outside to take the call.
As soon as he answered, Matilda's worried voice came through, "Brady, have you seen those videos online? The film set caught fire! It's a huge blaze, and I heard Aria is there. Have you checked on her?"
"I can't reach her phone," Matilda said, clearly distressed. If she could have reached Aria, she wouldn't be so worried.
She was really anxious.
Aria was one of the orphans her late husband had sponsored.
All the other kids, except Aria, had eventually been reunited with their biological parents.
Aria was the only one left, and she was finally taken in by some distant relatives.
Technically, they were related to the Hall family.
Thinking about Aria gave Brady a headache. He rubbed his temples and said, "I haven't checked yet, but it should be fine. Don't worry."
If something serious had happened, he would have known before Matilda called.
Someone would have already sent him a report on any casualties.
"Aria is part of the Hall family, too. Make sure to check on her!" Matilda insisted.
Brady agreed, "Alright, Grandma. I'm still in a meeting. I'll check on her and let you know, okay?"
"Okay, okay. You get back to work. Just send me a message if everything's fine," Matilda said, not wanting to disturb him further.
Brady hung up and looked out the window for a moment before calling Violet to get an update.
Violet was almost at the film set.
Seeing Brady's call, she knew what he wanted to ask. She answered, "Are you calling about the fire at the set?"
"Yeah. Is everything okay? Matilda is really worried," Brady replied.
"Matilda really cares about her," Violet said with a hint of jealousy. "It's fine. I just spoke to someone at the set. The warehouse took a big hit, though. The damage is around $5 million."
Brady wasn't concerned about the money as long as the designers at JK were safe. "Money isn't an issue. As long as everyone is okay."
Violet sighed, "Don't worry, honey. I'll handle it."
"Alright. Let me know if you need anything," Brady said gently.
"Will do."
After ending the call, Violet glanced out the car window. They were on the outskirts of the city, a bit remote and desolate, but she could see the thick smoke rising in the distance.
That must be the film set.
Judging by the smoke, the fire was indeed massive.
Violet looked for a moment before turning to Max, who was driving. "Thora just called me. They have video evidence and are blaming her, but she said she put out the sparks and didn't see any fire when she left."
Max frowned, "Something's off about this."
"Definitely," Violet agreed. She wondered if Aria was involved. Thora had mentioned that Aria volunteered to handle the situation.
Violet suspected Aria might have orchestrated the whole thing.
Why else would she be so confident about fixing it?
"Do you think Aria can handle it?" Violet asked, snapping back to the present.
Max was surprised, "Aria? She just joined JK. How could she handle it?"
Violet smirked, "I think she can pull it off."
Max was even more puzzled. "Violet, why do you say that?"
"Just a hunch, Mr. Green. Want to bet on it?"
Max, unsure of her plan, said, "Alright, I bet she can't handle it."
Violet's smirk widened, "I bet she can."
They had crossed paths before, and Violet knew what Aria was capable of.
