Chapter 905 Brady Will Cripple You

Julie, feeling embarrassed, rushed to help Violet with breakfast, leaving Dora standing there, on the verge of tears.

All she did was speak out of turn, so why was she the one getting punished?

Wasn't Julie going to stick up for her?

Dora felt increasingly wronged and anxious as she thought about it. She didn't want to lose this job.

The island might be isolated and a bit boring, but the pay was great!

If she got fired and had to find work elsewhere, she definitely wouldn't make as much money.

Dora was unwilling to be dismissed just like that.

She hastily wiped her face, scrambled to her feet, and walked over to Julie, grabbing her hand. "Julie, I've always been good to you. Please help me. I promise I won't speak out of turn again."

Julie looked at her, feeling a bit awkward.

Dora had indeed been kind to her, but she had no authority to keep her on.

Besides, Dora was asking the wrong person; she should be pleading with Violet, not her.

So, glancing at Violet, Julie quickly and kindly reminded her, "Dora, I don't have the authority to keep you. Only Mrs. Hall does."

Dora didn't want to plead with Violet. Deep down, she looked down on her.

She thought Julie was prettier than Violet.

But the reality was, if she wanted to stay, she had no choice but to bow to Violet.

Dora let go of Julie's hand, hesitated for a moment, and reluctantly turned to Violet to plead, "Mrs. Hall, I know I was wrong. I won't gossip or try to encourage Julie to take your place again."

After she finished, Violet glanced at her, her eyes cold and unfeeling.

Did Dora think she was that naive?

If she kindly let her stay, who knew what trouble Dora might cause for Julie in the future?

Violet had already thought it over.

To ensure Julie's safety and peace, she couldn't keep a maid with such a devious mind around.

"You don't need to plead with me. We can't keep someone like you here," Violet said, then turned to another, more honest maid. "Go get Bob. I plan to hold a meeting."

The maid, having already witnessed Violet's authority, didn't dare delay.

She put down the bowl she was holding and immediately went outside to find Bob.

Seeing that Violet wasn't listening to her pleas, the cunning Dora instantly flew into a rage.

Since she was getting fired anyway, she didn't care if Violet was her boss!

She immediately showed her true colors, pointing a finger at Violet and starting to curse, "Mrs. Hall, you're something! I've been working here for almost five years, and just because I said one thing, you want to fire me?"

"You're something! I bet it's just your looks that Mr. Hall likes. Do you think a man will stay faithful to you forever? Once you turn into an old hag, Mr. Hall will toss you out like trash!"

"Just wait! I can't stand women like you. Julie is younger and prettier than you. She'll be Mrs. Hall sooner or later! And you'll end up just like me, kicked to the curb!"

Dora, with her large front teeth showing, stood with one hand on her hip, feeling quite satisfied with her rant.

The next second, Violet picked up a bowl of cold water and threw it in her face. "Looks like you need to cool off."

Dora, drenched in cold water, screamed in rage and rolled up her sleeves, ready to hit Violet.

Julie, seeing this, was startled.

The Dora she knew had always been decent; how had she suddenly become so terrifying?

After a brief moment of shock, she quickly stepped in front of Violet and said to Dora, "Dora, calm down."

"She's Mrs. Hall. If you lay a hand on her... Brady will ruin you."
