Chapter 376 I Want to Give Him a Happy Childhood
When the talk shifted to kids' education, Violet scrunched up her face a bit and said, "Let's save this chat for when Henry hits kindergarten. He's still too young right now."
She'd thought about early education or those fancy programs for Henry before, but after everything they'd been through, she just wanted him to grow up happy and healthy.
"Why not give it a shot?" Brady didn't push but wanted to share his two cents. "If he starts those elite programs early, he might pick up more, and his speech might also..."
Before Brady could finish, Violet took a deep breath, pursed her lips, and cut him off, "Brady."
"Yeah?" Brady responded.
"I said he's still young. I want him to have a carefree childhood." Violet had zero interest in those so-called elite early education programs.
She felt that letting Henry grow up happy was enough.
"Is that what you really think?" Brady glanced at her.
Violet nodded. "I don't want him to deal with too much learning pressure right now."
"Alright, I get it." Brady thought for a moment, then reached out to hold her hand.
After that, Brady dropped the education topic. Instead, he took her for a stroll in the garden, chatting about other stuff.
Brady hadn't felt this sense of belonging in ages.
Just like now, walking under the stars with the woman he liked made him feel content.
Brady found himself falling deeper for their relationship.
Time flew by, and soon it was time for Violet's first team collaboration show.
This was the first time Violet's designs, named after her, would be strutted down the runway; the whole world would be watching.
How could she not be nervous? Her anxiety kept her tossing and turning at night.
Hellen was worried about Brady hovering over her, so she arranged for Violet to bunk with her after moving in with Brady.
Violet was cool with this setup, but Brady was kinda bummed.
Brady's whole point of having her move in was so they could share a bed, but Hellen didn't give him any alone time with Violet.
Still, Brady remembered Violet's upcoming show; so when he got back from work that day, he brought her a little gift for her show.
When he walked in, the two little ones were playing in the living room, and Hellen was solo in the kitchen making dinner. Because of the kids, Brady didn't let the maid who used to take care of him come over.
He didn't want any gossip spreading; he wanted to keep the kids' situation on the down-low.
Violet hadn't come home from work yet, so Brady ditched his suit on the sofa and went to play with the kids.
Around 7 PM, Violet walked in from work.
As soon as she stepped in, the two kids heard her voice and bolted from Brady, running to her like little bunnies.
Violet almost stumbled backward when they pounced on her. After steadying herself, she quickly hugged them and asked, "Were you two good today?"
Henry nodded. "Yep."
Nicole nodded obediently too.
Seeing how well-behaved they were, Violet felt all the exhaustion and stress from work just melt away.
"Isn't your show coming up?" Brady, who had been chilling in the living room, slowly walked over, looking at her warmly.
Violet nodded. "In three days."
"Need any help with anything?" Brady asked, one hand in the pocket of his tailored trousers, standing tall in front of her.
"No, almost everything's set." This time, she had ten designs for the show, and she'd been burning the midnight oil to finish them. There wasn't much she needed Brady's help with.
Brady nodded slightly and handed her a watch he had prepped as a gift. "This is for you."
