Chapter 9 Seducing Brady
In less than five minutes, Violet rushed over with a bag in hand.
Her face was covered in a slight sheen of sweat as she panted for breath.
Still, she hurriedly walked up to Laura and handed over the bag. "Ms. Murphy, I've brought the designs."
Laura glanced at her, showing no gratitude but instead publicly scolded her in front of the client, "You're so slow. If you don't like this job, just leave. Don't delay our progress."
Violet tried to retort, "But..."
"What? Am I not right? Do you have objections? If you do, go ahead and submit your resignation!" Laura scrutinized her with disdain.
It would be better if Violet resigned right away!
Laura immediately turned to the client with a smile, engaging her in a lively discussion about the designs.
Violet stood to the side watching them animatedly converse, feeling completely ignored.
She bit her lip in frustration.
How outrageous of Laura! She forgot the designs, and Violet had forgone lunch to bring them to her, only to be chastised!
Forget it. Violet decided to endure it for now.
Being new to the company, Violet couldn't afford to offend such a senior colleague. Otherwise, her future there could become even more challenging.
Enduring a few minor grievances now wouldn't harm her long-term plans, for the sake of her babies and Hellen.
Steeling herself with these thoughts, Violet turned to leave, but then she saw Brady walking towards her.
Her body tensed at the sight of the handsome Brady. A moment later, she spun around and hurried away.
The last thing she wanted was another run-in with Brady. If he got annoyed, he might have Max fire her!
Violet quickened her pace, but Brady had already noticed her.
Why was she there?
...
Meanwhile, on the 15th floor of the Hall Group building, Lilian walked into the media department, her high heels clicking with each step. Once inside, she headed for a secluded corner with her phone and dialed her mother Eileen's number.
Lilian had done everything within her power to get a job at the Hall Group, all to pursue Brady.
But Brady was always so busy, rarely seen even in passing.
Worth billions, Brady was a highly sought-after bachelor. Lilian didn't consider herself wealthy enough to confidently chase after him.
So, her only choice was to join Brady's company and seek an opportunity to pursue him.
Lilian had even thought about drugging Brady to force an encounter, just like Violet had done.
However, Eileen swiftly dissuaded her. A man like Brady despised being manipulated with drugs.
If Lilian resorted to such a tactic, not only would she fail to gain his favor, she might find herself loathed by him and lose any chance of getting close to Brady forever.
But now, Violet had suddenly reappeared at the Hall Group.
This worried Lilian greatly, as Violet was notoriously seductive.
Becoming Mrs. Hall was a dream any woman in Elysiuma would covet.
With this in mind, Lilian dialed Eileen's number.
The phone was quickly answered. Eileen was in the garden of her villa enjoying afternoon tea with her friends. She warmly said, "Lilian, is something wrong?"
"Mom, Violet is back! That bitch is back!" Lilian's tone was filled with venom, her eyes flashing with anger. "She's at the Hall Group!"
"What?" Eileen, hearing Violet's name, immediately sat up straight. "What is that little wench doing at the Hall Group?"
"She's trying to seduce Brady!" Lilian spat out, recalling the previous encounter between them. She wished she could tear Violet to pieces.
"She won't succeed! I'll make sure of it!"
