Chapter 331 Violet Must Resign
Over at Ashbourne Manor, on the other side of the city, Violet was in a pretty foul mood after all the chaos today.
Luckily, her two adorable kids managed to lift her spirits, and soon enough, she was back to playing happily with them.
Early the next morning, Matilda Hall heard about the spat between Violet and Leana.
Matilda liked Violet, so even though Mr. Moore complained to her, she wasn't in a hurry to make Violet quit JK.
Instead, she made a special trip to Hall Group to talk to Brady and get the full story.
Brady had just arrived at the office not too long ago. When Matilda showed up, he quickly offered her a seat and asked, "Grandma, what brings you here so early?"
Matilda smiled and said, "It's about your company's business."
Brady didn't immediately connect the dots to Violet, so he asked, "Is there a problem with the company?"
"Did Violet from JK have a run-in with Leana yesterday? I heard it even ended up at the police station," Matilda got straight to the point.
So that was what this visit was about. Brady chuckled and asked, "Who ratted it out?"
"Mr. Moore called me last night, furious," Matilda said, shaking her head at the memory. "What happened? Something about a necklace? Leana even tried to kill herself. Luckily, she's okay now, or the Patton family wouldn't let Violet off the hook."
"It was just a misunderstanding," Brady said, frowning as he thought it over.
"What kind of misunderstanding makes someone try to kill themselves? Mr. Moore called me, demanding an explanation," Matilda sighed. "I don't think Violet's the type to bully anyone, but Mr. Moore insists she has to quit because of what happened to Leana."
"Is that what he said?" Brady's eyes darkened.
Did the Patton family not know right from wrong?
"Yes," Matilda replied.
"Then tell Mr. Moore that Violet is mine, and I won't let her resign," Brady said firmly.
Matilda was taken aback. What did he mean by "his"? After a moment, she realized and was a bit incredulous. "You mean you and Violet are together?"
"Haven't you been telling me to get a girlfriend? Well, I got one," Brady admitted.
Matilda's face lit up with joy, momentarily forgetting why she was there. She clapped her hands happily and said, "You two are really together?"
"Yes." Brady nodded, not wanting to hide anything. "Grandma, please just tell Mr. Moore no."
Matilda understood, but she knew this couldn't be brushed off so easily. The two families had a long-standing relationship, and when Mr. Hall was alive, he was close with Mr. Moore. She didn't want to ruin that connection.
"Brady, I think we should all sit down and talk this through, and we should invite Violet too. After all, she's part of the Hall family now, don't you think?" Matilda suggested.
Brady had no objections. "I'll follow your lead, Grandma."
"Then I'll book a restaurant," Matilda said, immediately taking out her phone to make a reservation.
Brady stood there for a moment, thinking about the situation, then sent a message to Violet, asking her to join them for lunch.
