Chapter 751 The Once Beautiful Girl, Now Made Ugly And Thin
Eastside Prison.
Charlotte had taken the day off to visit Lilian and learn about Violet's weaknesses.
In the prison's visiting room, Charlotte sat waiting for Lilian to come out.
After about three minutes, a guard escorted a noticeably thinner Lilian out.
Lilian saw her cousin Charlotte, who looked radiant and confident, sitting there.
The stark contrast between her haggard appearance and Charlotte's vibrant demeanor filled Lilian with a surge of hatred and pain, making her eyes flash with a fierce intensity.
"Hey Lilian, long time no see," Charlotte said, sizing up her whom she hadn't seen in a while.
Indeed, prison was no place for anyone.
The once pretty young woman had been reduced to a gaunt and unattractive figure.
Charlotte couldn't help but click her tongue in her mind, feeling a mix of pity for Lilian's situation but without any sympathy or compassion.
She had no intention of helping Lilian.
After all, Lilian used to flaunt and boast in front of her all the time.
There was no reason to save Lilian.
"Charlotte, can you help me?" Lilian pleaded, desperate to get out of prison.
Lilian knew Eileen had died, and Gerry was also incarcerated.
She was truly left with nothing.
But she wasn't ready to give up; she wanted out. She couldn't waste her life in here.
"You broke the law. How can I help you?" Charlotte said helplessly. "Just focus on rehabilitation. You'll only be in here for a few years."
A few years? Was she serious?
Lilian's gaze turned icy as she looked at Charlotte.
She was just as ruthless as the rest of them.
Seeing her in this state and still not offering help?
But she knew the only people who could save her now were Charlotte's family.
She couldn't afford to be too harsh, so she restrained her anger and said, "Charlotte, please help me."
"Lilian, I really can't help you," Charlotte said truthfully.
How could she help?
Unless Violet agreed to reduce her sentence, there was no way.
"You can, I know you can. You can help me find a lawyer. I'll repay you once I'm out," Lilian said earnestly.
Charlotte didn't want to waste time and said, "Lilian, I came to talk to you about Violet."
Mentioning Violet was like touching a nerve for Lilian.
She glared at Charlotte and said, "Don't mention that bitch to me."
"Lilian, talk to me about her, and I'll find you the best lawyer," Charlotte said deliberately.
Lilian looked at her, eyes narrowing slightly, and said, "I know you won't find one. Forget it." She paused, then suddenly stood up and said, "We have nothing to talk about. You can leave."
"Tell me about Violet, and I'll help you," Charlotte thought for a moment. Finding a lawyer wasn't difficult, so she said.
"How can I trust you'll find one?" Lilian knew her cousin too well.
Charlotte was even more selfish than she was, two-faced, but smart, and a top student.
So if she was asking about Violet, she must have a motive.
"How about I bring the lawyer next time?" Charlotte suggested.
Lilian finally nodded and sat back down to talk, "Alright."
But she would be cautious. Charlotte was too cunning; she might sell her out someday.
She had to be careful.
"What do you want to know about her?"
"You grew up with her, you must know some of her hobbies, right?" Charlotte needed to establish a close relationship with Violet.
Naturally, she needed to know Violet's interests.
"What are you planning?" Lilian asked, staring at her.
"Don't worry about it, just tell me. And if you lie, I won't find you a lawyer," Charlotte said with a smile.
Lilian sneered and said, "She doesn't have any major hobbies, just likes designing things."
"What about food?"
"Sweets, especially those rice cakes. She loves them," Lilian said impatiently.
Every time she mentioned Violet, she felt nauseous.
"Anything else?" Charlotte continued to ask.
Lilian wouldn't reveal everything. "When you bring the lawyer, I'll tell you."
"Alright." Charlotte couldn't get more information, so she decided not to waste any more time.
She got up and left without hesitation.
