Chapter 107 Miss De Vere, my personal doctor tells me you have 'postpartum' weakness
While Brady was pondering over the medicine, Mr. Taylor called from the other side and informed him that the paternity test results were ready, and he was on his way back with the report.
Brady spoke to Mr. Taylor on the phone, saying, "When you come back, go to JK and bring Miss De Vere up."
Mr. Taylor replied, "Mr. Hall, I understand."
After hanging up the phone, Brady tossed the medicine back into the bag and continued reviewing the documents.
It didn't take long, maybe about half an hour.
Mr. Taylor arrived at the Hall family building and went straight to JK.
As soon as Mr. Taylor, Brady's personal lawyer, showed up at JK, all the designers assumed there was something significant to announce.
But as it turned out, he was there to see Violet.
Instantly, everyone in the company started gossiping.
"Mr. Hall's personal lawyer is looking for Violet. Has she hooked up with Mr. Hall again?"
"Pfft, is she even worthy? Doesn't she still have Aiden Mr. White? She should go flirt with that ugly Mr. White instead of trying to get close to our handsome Mr. Hall."
"But what do you think Mr. Hall's lawyer personally came to find her for? What could it be?"
"How would I know? Could it be that Mr. Hall is actually interested in her?"
"That's impossible. Have you forgotten about Miss Plahn?”
"Wow, oh right, how could I forget about Miss Plahn's incident? She messed up JK's order and I heard she even offended Miss Plahn. Mr. Hall should make her apologize."
Questioning the lawyer, Violet couldn't help but ask, "So, have you got the results?"
Brady immediately looked at her with a deep and scrutinizing gaze, his voice low and slow, "Hmm, the results have come out."
"What are the results?" Although Violet knew that the results shouldn't matter, she still pretended to be unaware.
"It's not my child," Brady said coldly and indifferently.
The two fake hairs had indeed worked their magic.
Violet relaxed a bit in her heart and pursed her lips slightly as she said, "Mr. Hall, since it's not related to you anymore, I hope you will abide by the agreement we made earlier. If there's nothing else, I'll leave now."
After finishing her words, Violet was ready to leave.
Seeing her eagerness to go, Brady's gaze grew even deeper, and he suddenly said, "Miss De Vere, come here for a moment. I have something for you."
"What is it?" Violet stood still.
She didn't want anything from him.
"Come here," Brady spoke dominantly and without allowing any resistance. After all, Violet thought, she was still working in his company, so she reluctantly went over.
However, as she approached him, the man sitting in the office chair suddenly reached out his arm, firmly grasping her wrist, and pulled her onto his long legs. From the bag brought by the doctor earlier, he took out a box of postpartum weakness medicine and handed it to Violet, saying, "Miss De Vere, my private doctor told me you have postpartum weakness and need to take this."
Brady emphasized the word "postpartum."
Violet was startled by this and her face stiffened.
Meanwhile, Mr. Taylor, who was standing by, had already awkwardly turned away, not wanting to witness the ambiguous embrace between Mr. Hall and Miss De Vere.
