Chapter 509 Because They Are Father and Daughter, They Might Be Released without Much Trouble
Gerry completely ignored that Violet was also his biological daughter. In his eyes, there was only Lilian. This heartless behavior made Violetfeel extremely distressed.
She could never forgive Gerry in this lifetime.
Especially when she thought about how much Elowen had once loved him, only to be hurt by him in the end, Violet's eyes instantly reddened. She said to Gerry, "Today is probably the last time I'll see you. Next time, I won't see you again. Besides, Lilian is not with me. You should call the police. Maybe she can still be saved. If you continue to waste time here, you might receive her corpse tomorrow."
As soon as Violet finished speaking coldly, Gerry instantly became furious. He grabbed the wine bottle and smashed it directly at Violet's head.
The bottle shattered on Violet's head.
The shards cut her scalp, and blood flowed down, instantly staining her face.
Then came the intense pain. Violet collapsed to the ground.
The surrounding security guards were startled. However, they quickly reacted. Some held down Gerry, while others helped Violet, calling the police and an ambulance. Someone even called Max to inform him of this.
After a period of chaos, when Violet woke up, it was already dark outside.
She painfully opened her eyes slightly, and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling and Max's anxious face.
He was the only one who accompanied her to the hospital tonight, and he hadn't had time to notify her family yet.
Seeing her awake, Max immediately said joyfully, "Violet, you're finally awake! Do you feel alright?"
"My head hurts a bit," Violet said with difficulty.
"You need to rest for a few days," Max continued, "The doctor said there's no major issue. You'll be fine. By the way, should I contact your family?"
"No." Violet didn't want to trouble Hellen. "I'll call my family myself." She was afraid Hellen would worry, and she didn't want her two kids to worry either.
"Alright, what about your boyfriend?" Max thought if her boyfriend came, he would definitely leave.
If Max hadn't mentioned it, Violet would have almost forgotten about her and Brady. She said, "No need, he's very busy."
"That's not right. You're injured; he should know."
"Forget it. I don't want him to come." Brady was probably with Calliope now.
Seeing her so insistent, Max said quietly, "Then I'll stay with you?"
"Thank you." Violetagreed.
"It's nothing. You should rest."
Violet didn't refuse this time, and Max felt a bit delighted. He even wondered if she and her boyfriend were having issues. Otherwise, why wouldn't she let him come. If they really had problems, then he would have a chance.
Violet closed her eyes to rest again.
Meanwhile, Max sat beside her, keeping her company.
Outside their hospital room, Brady's face was slightly somber. He looked at them, wanting to go in but unable to, so he just stood at the door, guarding her.
After watching for a while, he turned to Eddy and said in a deep voice, "Where's Gerry?"
"Mr. Hall, he's at the police station now. Since they are father and daughter, he might be released soon," Eddy said truthfully.
"Make sure he goes to jail."
Eddy nodded.
