Chapter 344 Offending Her Meant Ending up Like This
"Leana, what do you want from me?" Lila asked, her voice trembling with fear of the wealthy and noble young lady before her.
"Come over here, I won't hurt you." Leana smiled; it was a smile that sent chills down Lila's spine.
However, Lila felt compelled to approach Leana, as her word held significant influence in their circle. She steeled herself and walked over, but as soon as she reached Leana, Leana suddenly stood up, grabbed Lila's long hair, and slammed her head against the mirror on the dressing table.
It was as vicious and brutal as when she had grabbed Violet last time.
In an instant, a loud crash resonated through the room as Lila's head forcefully collided with the mirror, creating a gaping hole. Shards of glass shattered and blood began to flow from her wounded head.
Lila cried out in pain, "Leana, what are you doing?"
"What do you think I'm doing? Was it you who meddled in my business?" Leana held Lila's hair tightly, pressing her head against the broken shards, the sharp edges piercing Lila's skin.
The pain nearly brought Lila to tears, but the pain was a minor concern. She was a model; her livelihood depended on her face and body. If her face got scarred, her modeling career would be over.
Terrified, Lila struggled and began to beg. "Leana, I'm sorry, I was wrong, please let me go." she cried, her voice breaking.
People outside could almost hear her.
Mia, afraid that someone might come in and see, quickly said, "Leana, that's enough, let her go."
"Next time, mind your own business," Leana said, still not satisfied. As she let go, she slapped Lila hard, sending her sprawling to the ground. Her face burned with pain, and the small cuts from the mirror shards stung.
Lila didn't dare make a sound, clutching her injured face as she hurriedly got up and rushed out.
She didn't stop until she reached the medical room at the show venue, seeking a doctor to treat her facial wounds. As a model, she couldn't afford to damage her livelihood.
Fortunately, the cuts from the mirror weren't deep, and the wounds weren't long, about the length of a fingernail, so they wouldn't leave scars. But the violent scene with Leana had left Lila mentally shattered.
Indeed, the 'little princess' of the modeling world was not to be trifled with.
Offending her meant ending up like this.
After getting some treatment in the medical room, Lila slowly walked out, looking at the runway outside. Instinctively, she crouched down, hugging herself and silently crying.
As Lila wept alone, Violet happened to pass by the corridor on her way to the restroom. She recognized Lila immediately as the model who had testified for her that day.
There had been too many people at the police department last time, and Violet hadn't had a chance to thank her properly.
Violet walked over, intending to express her gratitude, but as she got closer, she saw Lila crying. Violet paused, then crouched down and asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
Hearing the voice, Lila looked up at Violet and shook her head. "I'm fine."
As soon as Lila lifted her face, Violet saw the bandage on her cheek and the swollen, red mark, as if she had been hit. Violet blurted out, "Are you really okay? Did someone bully you?"
Lila didn't want to say more. "No." She stood up to leave; she still had to survive in this industry.
Seeing Lila unwilling to talk, Violet didn't press her. She stood behind her and said, "Lila, thank you for your help at the police station last time."
Lila responded briefly and continued walking. Violet stood behind her, feeling uneasy.
Perhaps it was just a woman's intuition?
As Lila took a few steps, Violet said, "Lila, if anyone bullies you, remember to find me. I owe you a favor."
Though Violet wasn't very powerful, she now had the backing and support of Brady.
Lila heard this, feeling a strange warmth in her heart. She glanced back at Violet and then continued walking.
