Chapter 950 Darling, I Miss the Children
Outside the villa, on the runway, a private jet had been waiting for quite some time.
Brady personally escorted Arthur onto the plane, watching as it smoothly took off and disappeared into the clouds before heading back inside.
When he returned to the mansion, Violet was sitting on the couch, talking to Hellen on the phone while waiting for him.
Last time, in her rush to chase after Julie, she had left her phone behind and hadn't had a chance to message Hellen.
Now, as she turned on her phone, it was flooded with missed calls and messages from Hellen and her mother-in-law, Ava.
Violet quickly called them back one by one to let them know she was safe.
However, she didn't mention the events of the past few days to avoid worrying them.
After making her calls, Brady had already sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms. "Were those calls from my mom and the others?"
"Yeah, they were asking how much longer we'll be here. And, I told them just one more day," Violet said, resting her head on his shoulder, feeling content.
"Your mom even had the baby with her and wanted to chat with me."
"Oh, and Hellen had Henry and Nicole call me directly."
Talking about Henry and Nicole made Violet's eyes well up a bit. "Honey, I miss the kids."
"We'll just have one more day of fun and then head back," Brady said, holding her tighter. "I miss them too."
Since her pregnancy and the birth of their children, they hadn't had much time alone together. This was a rare opportunity, and he wanted to make the most of it.
"Okay," Violet nodded. "Where are you planning to take me?"
"Not far. Bob will guide us," Brady said, and Bob, understanding the cue, quickly went out to prepare the speedboat to take them to a nearby town.
Violet trusted him.
"By the way, let me check on Julie," Brady said, grabbing his laptop and logging into Julie's account.
Before he left last night, he had reached an agreement with Jesse.
Once Julie woke up, they would check on her.
Sure enough, when Brady logged into the account Jesse had set up, Julie was already awake, sitting in a comfortable chair and looking at them through the webcam.
"Brady, Ms. Devereux," Julie's voice was a bit hoarse as she looked at the couple snuggled together on the screen.
"Julie, just stay there and take care of yourself. They won't harm you," Brady said gently, noticing her low spirits.
Julie knew they wouldn't harm her. She had learned about her background but hadn't fully accepted it yet, which left her feeling down. "Brady, I know." She paused, looking at Violet, who was nestled beside Brady.
A wave of guilt washed over her.
When they were captured together, she had abandoned Violet out of fear for her own life.
She felt cowardly and undeserving of Violet's protection.
Tears welled up in Julie's eyes, and her voice choked, "Ms. Devereux, I'm so sorry. I was so scared before, and I left you behind."
"Ms. Devereux, I'm really sorry."
Violet didn't blame her at all. Everyone fears for their life, and she couldn't expect Julie to be brave enough to save her. "Julie, the past is the past. As long as you're safe now, nothing else bears consequence."
"Okay," Julie nodded, still feeling a bit down.
She wasn't used to staying there.
Fiddling with her nails, she looked at the couple on the screen. "Ms. Devereux, Brady, can I come visit you in Crestoria sometime? I've never been there."
Brady smiled, "Of course, you're always welcome."
Julie nodded, feeling a bit better.
She decided she would visit them in Crestoria. That way, she could feel like she had family.
