Chapter 192 She Will Never Take a Second Paternity Test.
"Brady, this matter bears no relevance to you," Violet asserted, her voice steady despite the turmoil within. She strained against his firm grip, "Furthermore, I will not subject myself to another paternity test. It's a blatant disrespect to my cousin. Those children are theirs."
However, her struggles proved futile against his unyielding hold.
A scornful chuckle escaped his lips, "Your cousin's children?"
"Then why do the children bear such a striking resemblance to me?" Brady's grip tightened, his hot breath washing over her as he leaned in, causing Violet's cheeks to flush a deeper shade of red. "Brady, release me."
"Violet, just give me a chance, I'm better than he'll ever be." Brady's breath hitched, the intoxicating aroma of her perfume pushing him to the brink of no control.
With a swift movement, he released one hand, cupping her chin and descending upon her lips with a fervent kiss.
Their kiss was a tumultuous dance of lips and teeth.
Brady was assertive, his hands wandering restlessly as he kissed her.
Violet was filled with trepidation, questioning whether Brady had any understanding of respect. He seemed to kiss and touch as he pleased. Yet, she couldn't deny the thrill that his skilled techniques evoked within her, stirring a desire for more.
However, she couldn't afford to entertain such thoughts.
After enduring his aggressive kiss, Violet bit down hard on his tongue, causing him to reflexively release her with a sharp wince of pain.
Once free, she delivered a resounding slap to Brady's face, her cheeks aflame with indignation. "Brady, at least have some decency! And stop pursuing me," she commanded sternly.
With that admonishment, she retreated hastily to her apartment, her heart heavy with resignation.
After Violet had shut the apartment door behind her, Brady remained outside, his gaze dark and unwavering as he stared at the closed door, undeterred by the bite.
He was consumed by the predatory desire of a man fixated on the unattainable.
Inside the apartment, Hellen approached Violet with palpable anxiety, "Violet, what did Brady say?"
"It's nothing," Violet forced herself to suppress the memory of his touch and kisses, regaining her composure to respond calmly, "Hellen, I intend to resign in a few days. Let's find other alternatives for accommodation, shall we?"
Hellen concurred enthusiastically, "I've already listed the house for sale."
"I apologize, Hellen," Violet expressed her genuine remorse for implicating her steadfast friend, "And now you're even compelled to sell the house."
"Don’t concern yourself over that. It's all to make sure Henry and Nicole have a better shot at an excellent nursery or school in the future," Hellen responded without a hint of regret. She had never married or had children. Her future house would inevitably go to Violet. "I don't have any children. So, this house will be for you."
Violet nodded in appreciation, "I'll handle the rent."
She required Emily's assistance.
Emily was the owner of several properties, and offering one for rent at a reduced rate was a feasible option.
"Agreed."
With the matter settled, Violet proceeded to hug her two children.
Henry and Nicole were engrossed in playing with their Transformers again.
Violet eyed the Transformer, contemplating confiscating it since it was a gift from Brady, but seeing the joy it brought her children, she decided to postpone it until the following day.
She would purchase Transformers for her children herself. Today, they could enjoy their playtime a little longer.
Violet joined them on the floor, engaging in their play for a while before sending a text to Emily.
Violet: [Hey Emily, unforeseen circumstances occurred during dinner with your friend, Arthur, and I had to make a hasty exit. I’m so sorry.]
Emily: [Darling, I'm aware of the situation. Arthur is quite the gentleman. He won't take any offense from it. Don't fret.]
Violet: [Thank you.]
Violet: [Emily, I need another favor. I'm searching for any property you have that’s up for rent. Are there any that I could possibly rent from you? And perhaps at a discount?]
Emily: [Of course, you could stay there free of charge if it’s necessary.]
Feeling slightly uncomfortable about not paying, Violet texted back after some thought.
Violet: [Could I have a look around the place anytime soon?]
Emily: [Of course.]
Relieved by Emily's accommodating response, Violet exhaled deeply, finally able to extricate herself from the clutches of the Hall family.
She would never subject herself to another paternity test. Not now, not ever.
