Chapter 695 Is It Someone from the Lawson Family

The bodyguard quickly pulled up the Mercedes and parked it smoothly in front of Violet. He hopped out and opened the rear door for her.

Violet bent down and slid into the car. The bodyguard started the engine and headed straight for Ava's entertainment company.

Ava didn't have any scheduled events today, but was busy prepping for a new movie at the company.

She was pretty swamped, but when Violet showed up out of the blue, Ava immediately dropped everything and greeted her with a big smile.

"Violet, what brings you here today?" Ava asked warmly, taking her hand and leading her to the lounge for a chat.

After everything that had happened, especially seeing how much Violet and Brady loved and supported each other, Ava had completely accepted Violet.

Knowing that Violet wasn't part of the Devereux family and had suffered so much coldness and pain there, Ava was even more inclined to treat Violet like her daughter.

"Mom, did you see today's news?" Violet asked bluntly as they sat down on the sofa.

Ava hadn't had time to go online. She had been busy with the new movie preparations and was unaware of any recent events. Curious, she asked, "What's going on? Is there some news online?"

"Is it something about the Lawson family again? Or is it about Eileen?" Recently, these were the two most sensational topics online.

Violet nodded, "It's about Eileen."

"What happened now? Wasn't she arrested?" Ava asked, instinctively pulling out her phone to search for the news.

A quick search revealed why Violet had come to see her today.

Ava's delicate brows furrowed instantly, and she looked furious. "Violet, how can Eileen be so malicious? She's already committed murder, and now she's slandering you. Don't worry, I'll help you with this."

Ava couldn't stand to see Violet being bullied anymore.

Anyone who bullied Violet was insulting Ava herself.

Realizing Ava was willing to help, Violet felt relieved and said, "Mom, she committed suicide last night. Before she did, she slandered me. Her family is holding a press conference this afternoon, probably to tarnish my name and the Hall family's reputation."

"So, I want you to come with me to their press conference."

"How can she be so vicious?" Ava'd attend the press conference, but would it be effective?

Ava thought for a moment and said, "Should we ask Brady about this? He's always good at handling these situations."

Violet didn't want to rely on Brady for everything, which was why she came to Ava for help. She quickly smiled and said, "Mom, I want to handle this mess independently this time. Plus, Brady is injured, and I don't want to burden him, so I came to you."

"Brady is injured? How come we didn't know?" Ava instantly became anxious, gripping Violet's hand. "Violet, is he okay? How did he get hurt?"

"He was stabbed by Eileen. Mom, don't worry, he's fine now and recovering," Violet reassured her.

Ava relaxed and said, "Tell him to be careful. He can't keep getting into trouble; he's a father now."

Violet nodded, "That's why I don't want to bother him with this. I want to handle it myself."

"I can't rely on him for everything, right?"

Ava understood, and a pleased smile spread across her face. She now saw Violet in a new light. She had previously thought Violet married into a wealthy family just to take advantage of Brady's money.

But now, it was clear she wasn't like that at all.

Violet was proactive, striving to live independently, and had her value beyond relying on a man.

No wonder Brady liked Violet so much.
