Chapter 1017 Are You Throwing a Tantrum with Me? I Demand You to Yield
Violet stormed out of the walk-in closet, leaving the maids inside bewildered. They quickly picked up the wedding dress and carefully hung it back on the rack.
"Was Mrs. Hall mad just now?" one maid asked nervously after hanging the dress.
"She looked pretty upset," the other replied.
"Do you think it's because Mr. Hall invited Ms. Clark? Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it."
"Forget it, it's not our fault. Ms. Clark was invited by Mr. Hall, not us."
"True. Let's just go downstairs."
"Okay." The two maids whispered to each other before leaving the closet.
Violet had already gone downstairs, fuming as she sat on the couch with a scowl on her face.
Today was supposed to be their wedding day. Matilda had taken the three kids to the family estate early in the morning to give the couple some space to prepare for the big event.
The living room felt unusually quiet. Violet sat there stewing in her anger, and the maids didn't dare approach her. She sat alone for a while.
Brady returned from handling business at the company and immediately noticed Violet sitting there as he entered the living room.
He quickly changed into his house slippers, loosened his shirt collar, and walked over to her.
"Hey, babe, is everything ready?" Brady asked, still in high spirits.
Today was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives.
Violet didn't respond, her face still set in a frown.
Brady sat down next to her and finally noticed her sour expression. "What's wrong? It's our wedding day. Who upset you?"
"I'm not getting married," Violet snapped, her anger overriding any rational thought.
Brady was taken aback, his eyes darkening. "Why?"
"No reason. I just don't want to," Violet said, standing up abruptly.
She was agitated.
Despite all the girls who had chased after Brady before, Violet had never felt threatened.
But Aria was different.
She had a strong, aggressive presence and a special status within the Hall family.
Even if she made mistakes, the Hall family would always forgive her.
For the first time, Violet felt anxious and uneasy.
"Something must have happened. Tell me," Brady said, standing up and grabbing her arm, a shadow crossing his handsome face. Everything had been fine yesterday.
Why the sudden change this morning?
Violet was furious and didn't want to deal with him. She pushed him away. "I just want to tell you to let go of me. I'm going upstairs."
"The wedding is all set, and guests are invited. You can't just call it off. What about the Hall family's reputation?" Brady refused to let go, gripping her arm tighter.
"Then tell them I'm the problem, that I'm being unreasonable," Violet retorted, determined to be difficult.
She needed to throw a tantrum to feel a bit better.
"Violet, there's a limit to throwing a fit, isn't there? Can't you just talk to me? Why do you have to act like this?" Brady was getting angry too, his voice growing deeper and heavier.
"I don't want to talk. Is that so hard to understand?" Violet snapped, pushing him away and heading for the stairs.
Brady's eyes darkened as he watched her.
He yanked off his tie, took a few steps, and scooped her up, gritting his teeth. "We still have time before the wedding. I refuse to believe I can't make you listen!"
Violet was startled as he lifted her, glaring at him. "What are you doing? Put me down!"
"What do you think? I'm going to deal with you," Brady said, carrying her upstairs. "You want to throw a tantrum? I'll make sure you give in."
Brady knew one thing well: when couples fight, a good session in bed usually solves it.
No need for endless arguments and wasted time.
