Chapter 167 Consulting with Mrs. Devereux on Handling Violet Devereux?

At the elevator, Violet was stunned to see that Lilian had no intention of backing down, hoping even more for her downfall or departure.

It would mean one less rival for her.

Yet Violet was still unscathed, leaving Lilian uncertain whether Violet truly had a connection with Brady Hall.

If so, challenging Violet like this would surely lead to a phone call to Brady Hall.

But Violet hadn't suggested seeking Brady's help to defend against her - so were they actually not together?

Then why had Oliver been so adamant about it?

Lilian Devereux was torn, unable to discern the truth or falsehood in their words. Clenching her teeth in malice, she glowered in the direction of the elevator, plotting her next move.

Even if Violet wasn't with Brady Hall.

Having her around was a constant irritation, and who knew if she might come back to claim a stake in the Devereux family fortune?

After all, she was her half-sister; they shared a father.

The more Lilian thought about it, the more urgent it felt to deal with the situation.

Composing herself, she pressed the elevator button to return to her PR department, planning to ask Mrs. Devereux for advice on how to handle Violet after work tonight.

Mrs. Devereux always doted on Lilian. Whatever she wanted, all she had to do was sweet-talk Mrs. Devereux, and it was hers.

Starlight Entertainment Talent Studio.

After the incident with Lilian's hot water attack, Violet Devereux also composed herself and went to see Loraine Plahn.
After handling the designs for Loraine Plahn, she knew it was time to resign.

She'd hesitated before, but now there was no trace of doubt.

Violet took a deep breath and, holding the sketches, approached the studio door to knock gently.

Shortly after, the front desk receptionist, clad in a smart pencil skirt, came to welcome her in.

At the door, the receptionist eyed Violet cautiously and asked, "Hello, may I help you? Do you have an appointment?"

"I'm a designer with JK. I have a meeting with Loraine," Violet replied honestly.

Recognizing she was with JK, the receptionist's expression softened into a warm, welcoming smile. "Ms. Devereux, please come in. Loraine's been expecting you."

Loraine was waiting for her?

Violet felt a slight shock and embarrassment, saying softly, "I'm really sorry, I got caught up in traffic. Has she been waiting long?"

"Not at all, Loraine had a free morning," the receptionist assured her with exceptional warmth, aware of her significance.

Violet's prior embarrassment quickly vanished.

She briskly followed the receptionist to Loraine's makeup room.

Upon entering, Loraine Plahn sat leisurely on a couch wearing a flowing chiffon dress, waiting for her.

Catching sight of her, Violet approached and apologized, "Loraine, sorry to keep you."

Loraine brushed off the concern with an easy smile, less distant now. "Sit down, let's see what you've designed."

"Sure," Violet settled onto an adjacent couch and handed over her sketches to Loraine. "The inspiration for my design draws on the popular theme of flowing chiffon. Take a look... If there's anything you're dissatisfied with, please let me know."

Loraine hummed approvingly as she began to review the designs.

After a while, she had completely fallen for the bridal gown.

The design was inspired, a refreshing break from the norm, and perfectly aligned with her fashion sense.

It didn't pale in comparison to any other top designers.

Loraine silently praised herself for giving Violet the chance.

Otherwise, she would have missed out on such a beautiful wedding dress.
Loraine Plahn clutched the finished design, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Miss Devereux, everything looks perfect. I absolutely love it! Please go ahead and have this dress made for me. I'm getting engaged soon."

"Don't worry, I'll work overtime to get it done for you," Violet assured her with a genuine smile, relieved that Loraine wasn't the type to fuss over her wedding gown.

Loraine nodded. "Okay."

"So... if there's nothing else, may I get going?" Violet said, ready to leave. With the design approved, she was eager to get to the bridal shop and coordinate with the craftsmen to rush the gown's production.

However, as she rose from the sofa, Loraine chimed in, "Miss Devereux, I'm planning a bachelorette trip in a few days. You should join us!"
