Chapter 675 Seeking Wealth or Taking Lives
"Don't worry about it, I'll handle it," Brady said as he walked over to her, gently patting her head. "What you need to focus on now is taking care of yourself and the baby."
"Okay," Violet replied, holding his warm, strong hand. "Be careful."
"I will," Brady assured her, planting a tender kiss on her smooth forehead. "You'll be out of the hospital in two days. Henry and Nicole have been asking me where you are."
"What did you tell them?"
"I told them you were on a business trip. They were pretty good about it, knowing you were away for work," he said, relieved that he managed to keep the kids calm.
"Alright, I'll rest up and get home soon to see them. I miss them too."
"Good," Brady nodded. He stayed with her in the hospital room for a while, then left his assistant and bodyguard to look after her before heading out to meet Ethan.
It took about 20 minutes to get from the hospital to the hotel where Juniper was staying.
When Brady arrived, Ethan wasted no time explaining the situation. Brady responded, "I'll have the hotel manager come over."
This hotel happened to be one he had invested in.
Calling the manager over was a simple task for him.
Ethan expressed his gratitude sincerely, "Mr. Hall, thank you for your help."
"I'm doing this for my wife's sake," Brady replied coolly.
He didn't want Ethan to think he was genuinely eager to help, especially after the hit-and-run incident.
Ethan understood how angry Brady was about the situation. The fact that Brady hadn't retaliated against his sister was already a sign of respect for the Lawson family. So, Ethan said earnestly, "I understand, but I still appreciate it."
Brady didn't say much more and went to check the suite, with Ethan accompanying him.
While they were inspecting the room, the hotel manager hurried over. As soon as he saw Brady, he bowed his head and greeted him, "Mr. Hall."
Brady glanced at him and said to Ethan, "Show the manager the photos and videos you got from the surveillance room."
Ethan nodded and handed over the relevant footage and photos to the manager.
The manager examined them several times and then called the head chef in the kitchen.
After multiple confirmations, he nervously said, "Mr. Hall, we don't know this person."
"Don't know him? How did he get into our hotel to work? What are you doing as a manager?" Brady's words were heavy and authoritative, each sentence carrying a palpable pressure.
The manager was already sweating from fear.
He had no idea how this man had appeared and managed to get into the hotel kitchen as an assistant.
There was definitely a lapse somewhere, but as the manager, he couldn't escape responsibility.
"Mr. Hall, sometimes the kitchen gets busy, and we let college students or willing waitstaff come in to help out, usually through recommendations. I suspect he came in as a part-timer," the manager stammered, his voice trembling.
"A part-timer? There must be someone who brought him in. I want you to find out who introduced him within five minutes!" Brady demanded, not wanting to waste time. "If you can't find them, resign."
The manager was terrified, rubbing his hands together nervously, and nodded quickly, "Mr. Hall, don't worry. I'll find out within five minutes!" He then rushed off to investigate.
Brady and Ethan stayed in the hotel suite, waiting for the kidnappers to call.
Kidnappers usually wanted money.
If they wanted to kill Juniper, they would have done it already.
Of course, there could be other motives, so they waited for the call.
