Chapter 896 You Sure Have a Lot of Sisters
Violet nodded, not exactly jealous, but whispered, "Wow, you sure have a lot of sisters!"
Brady chuckled and said, "Nah, you got it wrong. She's the sister of my buddy from Radiantia. She doesn't have any family left." He reached out to touch her hair, trying to calm her down.
Violet rolled her eyes, not wanting to get into it.
Brady continued, "I'll explain everything later. Let's eat first."
Violet nodded.
Their close interaction didn't escape Julie's notice. Her blue eyes were filled with envy. She had spent countless nights on the island dreaming of Brady gently stroking her hair like that.
But dreams were just dreams.
She knew it was impossible.
As Julie stared at Brady, lost in thought, Brady said, "Julie, come sit down."
Julie obediently joined them for the meal.
During dinner, Henry mischievously knocked over his glass of milk, spilling it all over Julie's dress.
Seeing this, Violet scolded Henry and quickly grabbed some napkins to help Julie clean her dress.
"Sorry, Henry's just being a little rascal and got your dress dirty."
Julie shook her head, showing no signs of anger, and said sweetly, "It's okay, I'll just change into another dress."
"I'm so sorry," Violet apologized again, feeling bad.
Julie didn't mind at all. She was just happy that Brady had come to visit.
After wiping off the milk residue, she excused herself to go change her dress.
Feeling guilty, especially after hearing Brady mention that Julie had no family, Violet said to Brady, "Honey, I think I have a few new dresses that I haven't worn yet. Should I give her one?"
"That's up to you," Brady replied, careful not to say anything that might be misunderstood.
"I'll go check," Violet said, handing Henry to Brady before heading back to her villa to get a new dress for Julie.
Meanwhile, Julie went to her room to change.
Just as she finished changing, Dora came in and saw the dirty dress on the floor. She immediately assumed that Violet had bullied her. "Julie, did Mrs. Hall bully you?"
"No, Henry accidentally spilled milk on my dress," Julie shook her head.
Dora sighed, "Mr. Hall is so handsome. If you had told him you liked him earlier, maybe he wouldn't have married Mrs. Hall."
"Dora, stop it. Brady likes Violet." Julie could see that Brady was fond of Violet.
Dora, being forty and having seen it all, laughed and gently touched Julie's hair. "Julie, even if a man is married, so what? After a while, the novelty wears off, and they end up betraying their feelings or getting divorced."
"I heard Mr. Hall's worth is over a billion dollars. He's rich and handsome. How could he settle for just one Mrs. Hall?" Dora began to encourage Julie to pursue Brady. "Julie, I'm telling you, are you content staying here?"
"You should think about yourself. Mr. Hall is young and full of energy. He won't settle for just one woman. You should give it a try."
"Don't talk about morals. Everyone looks out for themselves. I can't bear to see a beautiful girl like you wasting away on this isolated island."
"Dora, that's not right..." Julie, despite her feelings for Brady, couldn't bring herself to break up his family.
Dora, having been through it all, didn't care about morals and continued to persuade her. "What's not right? Mr. Hall has always taken care of you. He won't abandon you. Just tell me, do you like Mr. Hall?"
Julie bit her lip, hesitated, and nodded, "Yes."
Just as she said that, Violet arrived with the new dress she intended to give to Julie.
Hearing the last part of their conversation, she stopped in her tracks and frowned slightly.
She couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of Brady.
Deciding not to give Julie the dress, she turned around and headed back to the dining area.
