Chapter 75 He Wants a Paternity Test to Believe What She Says

"Hellen, let's go quickly." Violet also heard the voice of the female customer and didn't dare to stay any longer. She was all tension and panic as she helped Hellen open the door. Luckily, Henry was smart and well-behaved. Seeing his mom so nervous, he obediently stayed silent. He wondered if his mom was in trouble now. He had to behave well and not cause any trouble for her.

As Henry remained silent, both Violet and Hellen felt relieved. The two pushed the stroller and walked out. Brady had already become suspicious. This boy did indeed look very much like him.

"Exactly, it's incredibly alike. Can't he suspect?"

"Violet, wait." Brady called out to her before they walked out of the glass door.

"Mr. Hall? Is there something wrong?" Since she hadn't resigned yet, Violet naturally couldn't avoid pretending to be polite. She turned around, feigning strength and composure.

"Are those two... your children?" Brady raised an eyebrow and slowly approached them.

His towering figure instantly became a wall blocking Violet and Henry.

Henry also observed this reasonably good-looking man.

Who is this man?

What is his relationship with Mom?

Compared to Henry's cleverness, Nicole is more quiet and shy. When she saw Brady approaching, she hid behind her brother, clutching onto his clothes, secretly sizing up this tall and seemingly fierce man.

Violet stood in front of the two children, continuing to speak calmly, "Of course not, they belong to my friend Hellen's family." While saying this, sweat started to form in Violet's palms.

Layer by sticky layer.

God knows how scared she was right now.

Afraid that Brady would doubt, afraid that he would think these were his children and try to take them away from her.

"Is that so?" Brady clearly didn't believe her?

Where did this disbelief come from?

Perhaps seeing the little boy who resembled him so much made him suspicious.

"Mr. Hall, why don't you believe me? I'm not married, so how could I have children?" Violet said while pretending to force a smile. Then she crouched down, touched Henry's chin, and said, "Little Henry, tell Uncle, do you call me Auntie?"

Henry didn't know why Mom said that.

But as smart as he was, he did whatever Mom told him to do. He opened his mouth and obediently called Violet, "Auntie."

"You see; he calls me Auntie. Shouldn't Mr. Hall believe now?" Violet breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. Thankfully, her precious son was truly clever; otherwise, her two treasures might really have been taken away.

Brady chuckled, his black eyes growing even deeper, like a pool of darkness. Did he take him for a fool?

Such an explanation?

"Violet, he looks so much like me. Don't tell me... your cousin gave birth to a child who shares my genes?" Brady tightened his gaze, as if he needed to understand this right now. After all, being an illegitimate child wasn't something to take lightly.

What kind of logic was this? Violet had to admire his bizarre logic.

Violet adjusted her breath slightly and continued to calmly say, "Mr. Hall, there are many people in the world who look alike. It's just a coincidence that my friend Hellen's child bears a slight resemblance to you."

"Mr. Hall, we have other matters to attend to. We'll be leaving now."

With that, Violet decisively turned around and walked quickly out of the cake shop together with Hellen, pushing the babies.

Brady didn't chase after them. Instead, he stood inside the store, looking at their receding figures through the transparent glass. After pondering for a while, he took out his phone and called Linda. He wanted to do a paternity test to confirm if what she said was true.
