Chapter 865 That was a Betrayal

Darian leaned back in his plush leather chair, an iPad in one hand. His eyes were glued to the screen, replaying the live broadcast of Violet getting booted from the competition. He looked relaxed and pleased.
He knew Violet would come running to him for help after her elimination.
After watching the clip a few more times, Darian finally turned it off and waited for Violet to come back to JK to find him.
Meanwhile, in the basement of Darian's suite.
Jade, who had been knocked out and left in the basement, was slowly coming to after two days.
Despite her age, she was in good health, which was why she survived Darian's heavy blow.
But it was dangerous. If she didn't get out soon, she wouldn't last much longer.
Jade clutched her throbbing head and struggled to stand up from the cold floor. She leaned against the wall and slowly made her way to the basement door, using the last of her strength to pound on the iron door.
"Darian, open the door."
"Darian, I'm your mentor. You can't be so ungrateful."
Jade pounded on the door several times, but there was no response from outside. She quickly stopped wasting her energy and stumbled over to a nearby sofa, sitting down to conserve her strength.
As she sat, she held her scabbed forehead and began to cry in pain.
She never imagined that the student she treated like her own child would turn out like this. He wanted to kill her and lock her up here.
Why was he doing this?
Jade didn't know. The only thing she knew was that her heart had turned cold.
She had been so good to him, yet he wanted to kill her.
Jade suddenly remembered the first time she met him. He had stubbornly stood at her door, asking to be her student.
She had clearly said she wasn't taking any students.
He didn't listen and just stood there. He stood for three days and nights without eating or drinking until he fainted, and she couldn't bear it anymore and let him in.
Once inside, he bowed to her and said he needed to escape from his abusive family and become stronger to protect himself.
Then he took off his shirt to show her the whip marks on his back.
They were from his father, who beat him when he was drunk.
Jade had a soft heart, and seeing this, she couldn't turn him away. So she agreed to take him as her student.
Darian was indeed talented, and she hadn't made a mistake in taking him in.
Later, she sent him abroad for further studies.
He did make a name for himself, and she was proud. But in the end, he betrayed her.
That was a betrayal. The more Jade thought about it, the more heartbroken and angry she became. But there was nothing she could do now except conserve her strength and find a way to escape and call the police.

Violet returned to the company before Max.
As soon as she arrived, the other female designers gathered around to comfort her. "Violet, I think the judge must have cheated. Your work was so good, how could you be eliminated?"
"Violet, don't be sad. We have Mr. Voss."
"Yes, Violet, don't be sad. We can ask Mr. Voss for help."
Everyone chimed in to comfort Violet. She pretended to be very upset and said, "Thank you all for your concern. I just need some time alone."
With that, she went back to her office.
She sat for a few seconds, preparing herself emotionally for the act she was about to put on with Brady.
Then she got up, went out, and knocked on Darian's office door.
