Chapter 667 A Mistress is Just a Mistress
"You think I'm being immature? Look in the mirror! You're the ones who are immature. How could you just forget about Mom like this? All for what? Dad's mistress and her daughter? It's disgusting. Mom deserves better than this—you all owe her an apology."
"These are old grudges from the past, and Violet's mom wasn't a mistress," Ethan replied calmly.
His sister was too spoiled.
Sometimes, no matter how nicely he spoke, she wouldn't listen.
"How was she not? Didn't Dad go to see that mistress and her daughter? And you even talked about giving her shares. Can you honestly say you're being fair to Mom?" Juniper was getting tired of arguing with her brother.
In her eyes, they were all bought by that mistress and her daughter.
What place was left for her and her mom?
"Dad and Violet's mom were together first," Ethan said, his patience wearing thin as he frowned and raised his voice.
"Who told you that? Dad? Or that mistress?" Juniper wouldn't believe it.
Dad was clearly trying to help Violet and her mother. How could he say anything bad about them?
"Forget it, I don't want to know. All I know is that you all owe Mom." Juniper finished, stepping around him to head upstairs.
Ethan grabbed her arm and said, "Stop throwing a tantrum. Dad just recovered. Do you want him to get sick again?"
"I'm not throwing a tantrum. Can't I just go to my room?" Juniper angrily shook off her brother's hand and stormed towards the elevator.
Ethan followed her and said, "Calm down. Dad has never lied to us. Besides, Violet's mom has passed away. You don't need to worry about them trying to replace Mom. Dad went to see them because he felt guilty about the past. She doesn't want anything from the Lawson family."
Ethan didn't follow her upstairs. He knew his sister well.
The more he pushed, the more she resisted.
So he just had the bodyguards keep an eye on her and left.
Once Ethan was gone, Juniper looked back at his retreating figure, still fuming. So what if that mistress was dead?
She was still a mistress, wasn't she?
But as angry as she was, once she got back to her suite, she calmed down and started looking into Dad's past.
What she found made her even angrier.
It turned out her brother was right. Dad and Violet's mom had known each other first.
During that time, her mom was still in college and barely knew Dad.
Dad had already been in Crestoria for a while.
But why had Mom told her that she and Dad were each other's first love?
Why?
Juniper couldn't figure it out and didn't dare question her mom. She felt it would hurt her.
So she just lay on her bed, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, at the hospital.
Violet had been rushed in for emergency treatment to save her pregnancy. After an hour, the baby was safe.
She was moved to a room, and Brady stayed by her side.
When Violet woke up, it was dark outside. The entire Hall family was there, including Matilda. They were all terrified when they heard she had fallen and insisted on coming.
Brady hadn't told Hellen yet, worried she would panic and bring the kids.
If the kids came, they would definitely disturb Violet, and she needed to rest. The doctor had advised strict bed rest.
Although the baby was safe, it had been a close call.
She needed to stay in bed for a few days until things stabilized before she could be discharged.
