Chapter 821 He Remembers Every Provocation

The champagne in Brady's glass was completely gone, and with a loud clink, he deliberately slammed the glass down on the conference table.

The atmosphere between them started to get a bit tense.

Everyone in the room, except Darian, including Violet, was startled and instinctively looked at Brady's face.

Sure enough, his expression was a bit grim. Was Brady angry?

Violet glanced at him twice and instinctively tugged lightly at Brady's fingers, signaling him not to cause a scene.

Just after she signaled, Brady glanced at the woman beside him and then turned to Darian, saying, "Mr. Voss, how about joining us for dinner later?"

Darian gave a cold, fake smile and looked at Brady, saying, "Mr. Hall's invitation, I certainly won't refuse."

"Then it's decided. I'll have my assistant book a restaurant," Brady said, gesturing to Eddy.

Eddy understood and walked over, asking Darian, "Mr. Voss, do you have a preference for any cuisine?"

"Mr. Hall is too kind. I'm not that picky," Darian replied with a smile.

In front of Brady, he looked at Violet with a deep, unabashed gaze and said provocatively, "Whatever Ms. Devereux likes, I'm fine with."

Everyone in the conference room gasped.

Violet instinctively frowned, a bit displeased that Darian would say such a thing in front of Brady.

But she needed his help now.

She had to endure it.

Darian's assistant also sensed the tension and quickly looked at him, worried that Darian might provoke Brady again.

After all, he had returned with injuries that morning.

He immediately rubbed his hands together and awkwardly laughed to ease the tension, saying, "Mr. Hall, Mr. Voss is quite humorous. We're not picky; anything will do."

"Alright, Eddy, let's choose the restaurant we usually use for guests," Brady said, knowing full well that Darian was provoking him again.

If it weren't for the public setting and all the employees around, he might have kicked him directly. But doing so would be ungraceful and disadvantageous.

But he wasn't one to be trifled with; he remembered every provocation.

"Mr. Hall, I'll take care of it," Eddy nodded and went out to book the restaurant.

Brady put one hand in the pocket of his suit pants and held Violet's hand with the other, saying to her, "I need to talk to you about something. Can Mr. Green handle things here?"

"Sure, sure," Violet agreed quickly, not wanting to stay longer, fearing Darian might say something inappropriate.

She smiled and nodded.

With her consent, Brady gently tightened his grip on her hand and then turned his gaze to Darian, smirking disdainfully, "Mr. Voss, Mr. Green from JK will take care of you."

"Mr. Hall, I understand," Darian said, squinting his eyes and smiling nonchalantly.

Brady glanced at him and said no more, leading Violet out.

In the hallway outside the conference room, Brady said, "He's not a good person. Be careful around him."

Violet leaned closer to him, looking up with a smile, "Are you jealous?"

"What do you think?" Jealousy was part of it, but he was also investigating that joint design company.

He felt that things weren't that simple.

At least, in all the business cases he had encountered, no design company focused on acquisitions rather than design.

There was something wrong.

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I love you so much; I won't do anything out of line," Violet said, unaware that he was suspicious of the joint design company, thinking he was just jealous of her collaboration with Darian.

She quickly acted sweet and affectionate to please him.
